The arch is quite impressive but strangely it's not illuminated at night which would be beautiful to see...

This is the ruins of a huge and vast mosque - what remains are 35 m high walls with two doors - a threatening but very touching impression of vanity of power and strength!
The surrounding area is a chaotic construction site - but dont be afraid, the visit is worth it!

this place gives me feel of sadness for no obvious reason.
its a really big building which has been destroyed in some parts. and it lookes like an old person who had spent their glory time and now is tired and old.
its in middle of the new and semi-modern buildings which is odd and makes you feel like its sent by a time machine from past!
I really do like this place and its extream peace and beauty in early afternoon. also you cant enter in it and there isnt any shopes near it. I mean you cant spent alot of time there. but it worthes to see.

Hugh monolith right in the centre of the city. Currently being restored. Was interesting but I am not sure it deserves a must see title. Currently there is no information at the site except maybe in Farsi to explain its historical significance.
