Try to arrive there early and you will enjoy the beautiful scenery without having to stand in line.
The white rocks and the bright blue water in the grottoes will knock you off your feet.

“A beautiful spot at the very top (of Israel)!”
Reviewed 7 September 2013 via mobile

An hour's north of Haifa, at the very tip of Israel on the lebanese border are beautiful cliffs into the sea with grottos. On a holiday the crowds make it a bit unpleasant, but still worth the trip. The cable car down to the grottos is a minute ride, and the whole visit is about an hour...BUT the best part are the wild beaches just south of this site (a twenty minute walk south)
Make sure you have a couple hours for a beach walk and swim

“Definitely worth a visit, with or without the kids”
Reviewed 6 September 2013

I hadn't been here in almost 30 years, and went back last September. Interesting, fun, beautiful. Great photo ops. You don't have to take the cable car- easier, cheaper and less waiting in line if you drive in and park near the bottom and walk in through the tunnel. Also worth seeing the informational movie, to get a better idea of the history and how the tunnels were built.

“Awesome site, but not so awesome crowds”
Reviewed 7 August 2013 via mobile

After seeing a few photos of the grottos I knew I needed to make the drive to see this place, and I was not disappointed! The grottos and white stone coastline are incredible, and a great opportunity for photo nuts. There are plenty of things to see for kids, and I never felt the grottos were unsafe.

The only issue I ran into were the crowds: in the middle of the day the lines take a good while, which in the sun is just awful. The best time to go would likely have been right after they opened.

Still, one of my favorite sites from the northern coast!

“Do not miss it”
Reviewed 9 July 2013

A few minutes north of Nahariya you will find the grottos of Rosh HaNikra. You decend in the worlds shortest cable car and can start with a short movie (Hebrew, English, Arabic, or Russian) about the history of the site. The tour itself lasts no more than 30 minutes but it is truly breathtaking. No need to go to Italy for beautiful grottos.
