A friend and I stayed in the Rainbow Camp for only one day during our visit in Jordan- it was recommended by our travel agent and when we got there, we were met with an amicable host who showed us around the desert in his car. First he took us to the Lawrence's spring, consequently to a sand dune where we were encouraged to climb and lastly a beautiful and secluded siq. There are 10 tents in this particularly camp- all very nicely decorated and adequately equipped with candle lights, several blankets and stands for luggages. From the campsite, one can also admire the astonishing sunset and sunrise (if you get up early enough!). Not only were we treated with utmost hospitality, but the food there was also of outstanding standard. We were the only ones staying in the camp that night but still there was plenty of traditional food enough to last for days. Their homemade grilled barbecue chicken marinated with their secret sauce was unforgettable. I highly recommend Rainbow camp to anyone visiting Wadi Rum- the hosts were so friendly they even shared their wifi hot spot on their phone so we could keep up with the World Cup game! Wadi Rum itself is breathtaking and staying in such a lovely place gave me a wonderful memory and impression of Jordan.

I live in Mexico, and beauty is almost a given; so SURPRISE when those five days at Rainbow Camp broke open my heart to the unparalleled desert beauty of Wadi Rum....and all the while enjoying a simple yet perfectly comfortable and clean tent lodgings, a delicious array of foods three times a day ....and ALWAYS under the caring and delightful vigil of the Zalabeh family. I look forward to many many many returns....

I very much enjoyed my stay here April 23rd... peaceful, stunning views, and the food was amazing... I am vegetarian and they had so many options for me, although I have to admit the chicken looked great:) It was a fabulous, unique experience...

We spent 24hrs in the desert of Wadirum, in the hands of the most generous, enchanting Bebers family, Soliman and his brother Audi.
The most magical camp, beautiful place, protected from the strong winds, very clean, 2 bed tent rooms, comfy beds.
The most delicious evening meal, all cooked in a barbecue in the ground covered by sand ...quite intriguing.
For some of the guests there it was there 3rd or 6th time back to the same camp. One couple had been there for a month !!
I have to say one night was far too short, i would recommend at least 2 or 3, to get into their way of life. Wonderful for meditation.
They organized a fun 4x4 desert trip, and a 2hr camel ride, both brilliant.
A unique camp in this area. 5 stars.

Room Tip: All good , Rooms 6 to 10 nearer the bathroom facilities (useful in the middle of the night !)

We spent 1 day and 1 night here and thoroughly enjoyed the great views, fantastic sunset (one of the best spots for sunset viewing in Wadi Rum) and friendly welcome. The camp is comfortable, the staff make you feel at home and the food is great. Easily the best experience during our two weeks in Jordan and one we can recommend to anyone visiting the country.

Rainbow Camp was simply unique . The place was magical with the most helpful and kind owner (Soleiman) who really made us part of his camp and family life .
The camp is clean, the rooms are neat and comfortable ! The chill out area is where you can read your book or simply gaze at the wonders around you whilst being surrounded by a great fire .
Dinner was delicious, with specialities from their country which they cooked in front of us .
The sunset, star gazing and sunrise was a big plus .
I strongly recommend the Rainbow Camp - it was the real joy of my trip in Jordan !

This is a wonderful experience that all travellers to Jordan should try. It is a truly unique camping trip that will introduce you to life in the desert and the ways of the Bedouin people. From the moment you arrive, the staff make you feel at home and welcome. The great thing about this camp is that you are free to do as much or little as you like. A chance to explore, tour or just reflect. The dinner and breakfast we simple and wonderful and the chance to meet other travellers is always a valuable one. Our hosts Mbarrk and Sulieman Ziabieh are generous and knowledgable. Sleeping in the cabins is cosy and warm. It is the quietest experience you can have. An absolute highlight of our trip to Jordan!
