Sun Rise Camp is a wonderful example of a true Bedouin camp. Our tour guide Ali Hamad offered us the highest level of hospitality and gave us a taste of true Bedouin life (and cuisine!).
The 4X4 tour was perfect - never spending too long in the jeep, with the journey being broken up with short walks through beautiful canyons and the opportunity to climb magnificent arches and sand dunes. While driving through the vast desert, Ali would tell us all of the fine details of how his family live in the desert and which customs persist in the Bedouin lifestyle so many years on.
The sleeping arrangements were perfect - we spent both nights at the camp sleeping on a sand dune under the stars (on mattresses and blankets provided by Ali), though if sleeping outside doesn't appeal, there was the option of sleeping in traditional Bedouin tents.
For dinner we enjoyed traditionally cooked chicken with a range of vegetables, which was delicious!
Overall, I highly recommend Sun Rise Camp as Ali was very flexible and allowed us to choose which famous sites we wanted to visit and comfortably transported us to them while continuing to offer us any knowledge on the area (such as how to make Bedouin Tea!).
