This camp is well worth the trip. After quite a daunting drive to get there, the final part of the journey is exceptional - a river crossing in inflatable dinghies across the greenest waters I have ever seen. We were met on the river banks by all the staff offering cool wet flannels and freshly squeezed juice - typical brilliant Kenyan hospitality. Our tented accommodation was just perfect - clean, tidy, no frills - just as a safari camp should be.
The food was really good and very welcome after a long day in the Landrover. We saw lots of Hippos and giraffe but the highlight was most definitely the leopard which we caught in our headlights on the way back from sundowners overlooking the park.
It's a very beautiful and unspoilt place - our only regret is that we kept leaving it to go and look at wildlife and actually just hanging out by the pool or riverside would have been a real treat.

You have to visit this fantastic lodge, I can't believe this amazing lodge is such a well kept secret in Tsavo East, the enjoyment begins as soon as you step into the little boat that transports you across the river to the most tranquil relaxing place on the sand banks of the Athi river.

The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble, Thomas in the bar, Samson in the restaurant, Leah in house keeping to name just a few, are all so happy to help.

The food is first class and the attention to detail in the presentation is fantastic.

The tent, with a super comfy bed was spacious and well maintained.

If your looking for a totally relaxing break, in awesome surroundings with amazing staff you really need to visit this lodge, I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Magical riverbank setting. Cheerful friendly staff, very clean, super food, good service. Fun drive in the evening up to a high-up viewpoint on the world's longest lava flow, the Yatta Plateau, sitting on top of the landrover in the evening breeze and looking down on the Galana river as it snakes through the park. Fresh roses in place for our arrival. Vehicles are left on the riverbank and you are paddled across in rubber boats. No getting feet wet if you don't want to - the boatmen are adept at delivering you onto dry land!

As soon as you arrive by crossing the river, you feel like you are on an adventure. The river is beautiful, especally at sunset. The camp is well maintained and the tents are spacious and nice.
The food is fresh, light and delicious. Meera the owner makes you feel very much at home.
We saw wild dogs in Tsavo East which was special.
Definitely worth a visit for a truly African Luxury experience.
