“A warm welcome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 February 2014

Lovely resort. We stayed in a room over the water. It was very spacious with two king sized beds, plenty of storage, a kitchenette, bathroom with a separate shower but perhaps most importantly a personal pool. All was immaculate. The hotel pool was a good size, not huge but adequate for the numbers using while we were there. There was plenty to do. We hired recumbent bikes and had a go on the segway track. There were also sports courts available for those who wanted to be more athletic. Our group were greeted on arrival with refreshments and a hot snack and cake. Our evening meal arranged with the tour was delivered to our rooms so that we could enjoy the room as much as possible. No dressing for dinner needed. Included breakfast was as one would expect with a good range of western and oriental choices, they were even mixing up smoothies to order.

I spent my CNY 5th and 6th day at Grand Lexis Hotel, PD recently. I booked thru internet and it cost me RM700+ for one night stay at Deluxe Suite with 2 King Size Bed including 2 adults breakfast.

The check in time is 3pm and the check in process was fine. Not much of hassle and they assigned a Garden Villa to me which is just opposite the hotel main lobby. My car can park right in front of my villa.

The villa comes with a small living room facing the private pool. The bathroom and toilet are separated. Inside the bedroom, there are 2 very comfy King Size bed. Free Wifi is available and the internet speed is not too bad. At least I can upload some photos and videos to my FB while my kids are having fun in the private pool.

The pool is not too big but is good enough for a small family to have fun. The water is clean and without any smell. This is one of the reason I preferred this kind of private pool rather than public pool. The water level is only 4ft height. My kids are really enjoy themselves.

The housekeeping is very helpful because whenever I call them for extra towel, they will sent extra towel to me within 5 mins. A credit shall give to the team.

I have a walk to the water chalet and public pool area with my kids in the evening. To be honest, the public pool is so crowded and is quite small for a expensive hotel like Grand Lexis. We also went to their gaming room, there is a small playground for the little ones, table tennis, Wii and Xbox Kinect which the hotel charge RM20 per hour.

The only thing I would like to comment is the breakfast. Since we have 4 adults but the room rate only inclusive of 2 adults, I paid RM42 per person and total of RM84 I paid to the hotel. However, the varieties of food is very limited. The food quality also very lousy. Most of the food are cold especially the fried noodle and some wedges. My favorite egg station served fried egg and after I have a small bite, I can taste the oil has some smell like those expired oil.

However, in overall we were happy and sastify with this trip. Hope the hotel can improve their F&B quality.

We stayed at Grand Lexis for a short family vacation (2d, 1n) on recommendation of friends. The 2-bedroom sea facing villa we were assigned to was spacious enough to accomodate 5 adults and 3 kids and a baby. The rooms comes with 2 large king sized beds, a sofa (wch can double up as a makeshift bed), a kitchenette (with a microwave oven and mugs, plates, bowls and cuttleries for 2 and a selection of complementary tea & coffee), bathroom with walk-in closet and of course a small private pool for the kids (depth up to 4ft). Snacks and drinks in the minibar are all priced a standard RM5 for each item.
What we liked:
1. Spacious room
2. Private pool for the kids and ample choices of outdoor activities like achery, bikes, Segway, KMX cycles at reasonable prices
3. Tasty food (room service, esp. the fried koey tiaw. We didn't bother with the complementary buffet bfast, 'tho)
4. Lots of restaurants within short driving distance from the hotwl.

What we DIDN'T like:
1. The hotel does not provide extra bed, extra blankets or extra towels. Room only comes with towels for 2 pax! No wonder we saw lots of families who had brought along everything but their kitchen sink with them. So if you are a large group, take heed and bring along what you/your kids need. The hotel doesn't seem to mind either.
2. Over-priced ice cream from roaming F&B cart. Rm62 for 8 magnolia drumstick cones!! Ridiculous!!
3. Bedsheets and pillow cases smelled a little musty, as if they weren't replaced when we checked in.

Otherwise, it was a good stay.

Stayed in the Grand Pool Villa - Above the sea room with my family. The kids really enjoyed the private swimming pool with it. There are plenty of recreational things to do for the kids in the hotel. Breakfast buffet was really good. Staff were very friendly. Might come back and stay here again if I am ever in PD.

We stayed at Sky Pool Villa-Seaview for 3d2n. Eventhough this villa is too too big for only me and my husband, the reason to choose is ultimately because we want a total private pool (all rooms & chalets are accomodate with pool), and this is the only safest choice. There are some type of room that lack of privacy esp those water chalet (eg ppl from tower villa can see some of the water-chalet pool). No matter if you are muslim or not, as long as you are concern about it, i highly recommend you to stay in Sky Pool Villa too.

Sky Pool Villa has 2 king beds, a small kitchen with microwave & kettle, mini refrigerator, a lcd flat screen with numbers of interesting channel, a free wifi, besides a big private pool. Staffs were very friendly. The room arrangement & decoration is good. Condition is clean. Dine-in foods were tasty. Breakfast were also not bad.

We enjoyed our stay here and will looking forward to come here again!

The water chalet room is awsome..see-thru floor is unique. The internal pool OK for adult but not for kids as thee is another pool for kids outside.

Very suitable for those who love fishing. You can drop your fishing bait just infront of your door. The amusement center also provide many games facilities that would keep the kids occupied all day long.

My second visit to this hotel. The room was spacious and clean. I like the in-room pool - perfect for relaxing with a bottle of beer. I've got the sea view for both my stays here. The view was splendid.
