Such a great place to stay, to get away from hazel and bazel in daily life. Room were soo comfortable and well set. Private beach with beach activities, good surrounding with beautiful setting. To add the attraction, it has a mini zoo which allows us and the kids to feel the touch of animals.Just to enjoy the sunset and an evening walk,a safe walk way in the resort. Very good and polite service. It all blends well and makes the perfect holiday resort for either as couples or family with kids.

Room Tip: Chalets setting allows us to get the wonderful sea wave sounds thru out the stay. Bathroom with open...

I decided to try out this hotel because I've always stay at the same hotel previously, I regret my decision upon check-in.

The receptionist deducted my debit card for three times ! She calculate the total charges wrongly, and without asking, she proceed with the transaction, then she calculate it all over again but could not get it right, she pushed the credit card machine under the counter so i could not see it. the next moment i saw her taking out another two transaction slip ! need to asked her what is her problem, and she give excuse her calculator is the problem, and she smashed the calculator like a fool. Get her to cancelled all the transaction and pay by cash instead, if not i dont know how many times she will charge my debit card.

then, there's no bellboy attending to us and from the lobby to the room was quite far. No staff were helpful enough to offer help. Parking is limited, just imagine if you have to walk with your luggage from the opposite road to your room. Its not convenient for elders too.

The hotel itself is nice, unfortunately, the staff and the service provided was not worth what i'm paying for.

Will never come back again if have to pay.

We stayed at one of the water chalet. The water(sea) underneath the chalet was clean and clear. Love the open bathroom/ shower concept and the big daybed. Well maintained. The landscape was nice. The facilities were excellent. The 24hrs pools were great that you can swim anytime you want, even after midnight. The gym was a bit cramped but location was nice as you can see outside as you work out. Nice place for quiet weekend retreat.
The rate was however over-priced since it's without breakfast. Should have thrown in breakfast for 2...how much can one eat in the morning! Parking was also a major problem when you have to park on the lot across the property. It's dangerous, as you have to cross a busy road with cars passing at high speed (the zebra crossing does't help as it's on a bent and uphill, not flat land)

Not a bad place to be at. Moderate value.
Breakfast was crowded and lacking in food choice. Insufficient manpower to clear the dishes hence many waited as they stand.
Room is ok, enjoyed the sleep at night without much disturbance.

Looking for a fairly local quality short break and 4 days at Avillion Port Dickson looked the part and in the main our expectations were fulfilled. Stayed in Premier Water Chalet, very nice location with great views. Good sized room with double bed + double day bed, very clean, furniture a little tired looking but recently decorated. Staff mostly efficient, friendly and courteous, top of the list would be Mohamad Rozi (Outlet Manager) for who ran an excellent team and Sidi who took care of our check-in. Staying in Premier Water Chalet entitled us to AviLounge facilities with complimentary drinks, snacks etc. Very nice facility but not up to the standard of other hotel club floor lounges we had used.. There appeared to be some reluctance on the part of the regular lounge hostess to offer follow up drinks, its always better to be asked instead of having to chase up. Have to say this was not the case with the hostess who took over on regular hostess's day off however. Made a point of this in feedback form and note to General Manager before leaving hotel and follow up email later but disappointed he didn't take the opportunity to respond.

Room Tip: Try for a chalet with sea views and in the row nearer the hotel facilities.

This resort is lovely but, as others have also posted, is so over-priced I felt ripped off. And despite management’s posted reassurances that things will be rectified, they obviously don’t care that much. If you are looking for a short break by the seaside, head to Phuket, Cha-am, Kerala or Bali, they are better destinations than Port Dickson; cleaner waters (by far) and more off-resort activities. For the amount Avillion charge you can find a true five star resort at any one of these alternative locations. Consider:
Room furnishings were tatty, balcony door sticks, child’s pen doodle on the wall, toilet didn’t flush properly, exposed a/c unit in the bathroom. The spa experience was disappointing, massage most ordinary and, in general staff throughout the resort were least bothered – the outstanding exception being the staff in the aviLounge, who were brilliant.
Breakfast was a complete joke; totally understaffed and underequipped for the volume of guests. If you like to start your vacation day with a leisurely tranquil breakfast, STAY AWAY. On our first day, the egg station ran out of accompaniments for omelets, and on our last it actually ran out of eggs (and neither times were that late in the service period). Ridiculously slow, single serve coffee dispensers that needed, but were not given, constant attention by staff (clean tray, fill water tank, refill bean depository etc), lines five deep at the cooking stations and limited hot western breakfast choices meant sitting down with a hot coffee and a hot meal at the same time was impossible. One morning our table was given away while we were waiting at the buffet! And the staff were totally unapologetic about any of the problems.
The resort appears to be popular enough with domestic tourists, which may be why the management feel they don’t need to improve the service (or reduce the price) to compete with other international destinations. We didn’t have a terrible experience, but we won’t be back

Room Tip: If you must stay here, pay a little bit more for access to the aviLounge for afternoon tea and eveni...

Thank you for finding the time to provide us with this review…

We regret to note these which fell short of both our expectations in terms of service levels rendered by the resort team for your stay.

There is no excuse for such service standards at the Resort. However, we do assure you that this is not the norm for the Avillion; and we will most definitely address operational matters to improve on areas noted.

Looking forward to welcome you back again!

We looked forward to a peaceful and relaxing weekend getaway, to stay on the water chalet and enjoying the sound of the lapping waves underneath our chalet. All spoilt by a wedding party, starting at about 7 pm on 9th Nov, with their loud music well to past 10 pm. I complained to the guest services only to be told that the wedding is expected to finish at 11 pm. It was taking them too long to sort out the problem, so I went up to the wedding planner/organizer myself and asked them to shut off the music. She was very understanding and agreed to do that. Very disappointed though with the hotel management to allow such an event without much considerations of other guests at the hotel.

Room Tip: Go for the 700 series or above, better view of the sea
