Outdated hotel, nothing to do, no beach within 20km, no restaurants...
Ones small pool. Chalets are old with a very noisy AC, so you cant basicaly use it during the night.
Very bad choice for any kind of stay. This is barely a two star hotel.

Check in/Out were smooth. Booked via Agoda. Room on 9th floor in the tower, lovely view of the sea and sunset. 1 king + 1 queen bed. My sister in law in the water chalet had 1 king + 1 single day bed (not really a mattress bed). I found the tower room bigger and had a kitchenette but the water chalets have a openable roof in the toilet. The rooms were kind of clean, ie dusty and not squeaky clean but not super dirty. There was a musty smell over night so we had to open the windows/doors in the day. Beds are firm / comfy. Sheets are clean but pillows were abit dank. Towels - can tell that the hotel has upgraded some towels and kept some old ones but that doesn't bother me as they're clean. Breakfast spread is good. Nasi Lemak with 4 varieties of sambal. Eggs, noodle and sannwich cook on the spot stations. cereals/juice and a token western section. You get 2 brekkie vouchers with the room, additional pple have to pay M$33 and kids M$17. Staff were helpful, willing, always greeting, cheerful, smiling. However quality of information/help/directions not very consistent so be sure to check and double check your info. Asked for Malay food recommendation, directed to Indian food. Asked for buggy, was sent a bellman + trolley. However one staff, Mr NG was really good. He was the doorman/concierge/buggy driver all in one, but only in the afternoon- night. Smallish pool but clean. Toilets and outdoor/indoor playgrounds were clean. tap was leaking. Basin was leaking, bidet washer was leaking.. so had a permanently wet-icky toilet. Toilet didn't flush too well - there is a press and hold technique the maintenance guy came to show me after being frustrated that we rang 3 times .. but it only flushes 90% of .. well you know what I mean!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea facing room in the tower block. Turn on the water and use the toilet etc to check for...

i've purchase the hotel stay voucher from groupon and redeem. the staff are very helpful when i email on reservation and some queries.

room booked and check in was fast & good. the bell boy are very much helpful and place our luggage while i processing my check in. Buggy service is available if u need them to drop you to your chalet.

however, the toiletries is not ready in the room yet after i check in. i was told by reception they have sent to laundry and waiting for delivery. it will then delivered to chalet later. i've booked a premium chalet (cater for 4 adults), but we are given only 2 shower towels, 2 big face towels and 2 small face towels. my husband drop by the counter to ask for extra towels and it's chargeable at RM 64 (inclusive of 1 breakfast). according to the staff, it was new arrangement which only 2 complimentary towels for each room....

Room Tip: you can select a private pool room if travel with a kids

Bought the room through discount package. Image of the rooms when buying was awesome but was dissapointed when arrived at the room. Felt like I've been conned. Btw room was ok overall. Clean, and orderly.

Stayed one night with family. Booked 4 rooms (207-210). When we checked in around 2 pm we were only given one room. We were told that the other 3 rooms are being cleaned and when they are ready reception will inform us, After waiting for an hour we decided to walk to the check in counter and the three key cards were lying there and nobody cared to inform us.

Water chalets are spacious but not well maintained. Some electrical sockets in our room (207) are loosen but its not fixed and it looks dangerous to me. The kettle in our room also wasn't working. Called the housekeeping and they replaced it . The water heater in another room (210) was not functioning so we had to call the technician to have it fixed. The beddings were stained. The worst experience we had was when we had a visitor in room 210, a cockroach crawling around but we managed to kill it.

Not many things to do but since we are staying only one night it did not really bother us. . Swimming pool is rather small and crowded. There is no beach access from the hotel.

We bought the hotel voucher at the Matta Fair promotion so we bought the buffet breakfast voucher together at Rm20.00/pax which is slightly cheaper than the normal rate . When we went to the restaurant for breakfast we were told that it was full and we are asked to go to the function hall at upper level as the food served is the same. HOwever, the food at the hall was very bad. The steamers were not lighted so the food eg the dumplings, dim sum were cold even the nasi lemak is cold. Later on we found out that the food served at the restaurant is much better with much more variety than those served at the function hall upstairs. Felt rather short changed. Sis-in-law complained to the management and they gave each room a gift pack with some plain fried noodles and a box of cookies.

Having travelled around quite a bit this hotel certainly did not give us the "wow" factor to return and would definitely not recommend it to anyone.

Stayed in this hotel for 1 night on a tour. The hotel room which was built on a foundation above the water was spacious. The bathroom was almost the size of the bedroom. There was a triangular shaped jacuzzi-liked bath tub but without the jacuzzi function as well as a shower area where the cover at the top could be pulled sideways to see the sky. The room had 1 king size bed as well as a double bed which could sleep a family of 4 rather comfortably. There was free WiFi in room but connection was extremely slow. From the balcony of the room, we could see the tide coming in and going out but the water was extremely dirty and muddy. There were only 12 TV channels with AXN, BBC, Zee TV, Fox movies and sports, Discovery and Disney channels besides a few local channels. When people walked by the room (especially when the luggage carts were dragged along the way), it was rather noisy as our room was nearer to the lobby. The area of the hotel was very safe and we saw security guards petrolling rather frequently.

The resort positioned itself as a resort but the swimming pool was a bit small. There were other activities like volley ball, soccer, fishing, segway, cycling, snorkeling and giant snake & ladder game. Each game cost MYR 10 but 3 games could come at a discounted price of MYR 20.

Although juice, coffee and tea were tasteless, breakfast was acceptable because besides a few traditional Malaysian dishes, there were soup noodle corner, fried noodles, semi-cooked soft eggs, curries corner with freshly made naan bread. Taste of these made to order food was much better than the typical western dishes served at breakfast.

There was one major problem with the set up of the breakfast area. All the made to order corners were outside the sitting area. A glass door had to be opened and when guests usually had their two hands full with plates of noodles and curries etc., none of them could open the door to get back to their seats. They could only stand and wait for someone to help which was very inconvenient.

We stayed in mid Feb, 3D2N, a family trip, thus we booked 3 seaview rooms. The room is big. Other than that, the rest are just average. No beach, you have to walk to public beach, and full of stone. The pool is small. With the price, I suggest to stay at a Avilion or Thistle resort. Both are spacious and has private beach. Lexis is like staying in a town hotel, no resort feel at all. The food is lousy.
