The best dive resort to choose. Totally great experience and recommended for those who want to relax, enjoying the crystal water either snorkelling or diving. Plan to visit and stay again at this resort some day.

Outstanding resort, well kept, the water bungalows are fantastic. If the resort could increase and additional 3 more fans (1-patio, 1 for each bed) in the water bungalows that would be great, as it gets pretty hot where there is no breeze even at night. Thumbs up for all staff from the resort nand dive center except for a few that were frequently feeding food to the fishes at the house reef. Would recommend the resort adopts a conservation mindset to ensure the resort continues to improve and maintain the natural state of the marine ecology there. All staff were very friendly and helpful. TQ Sipadan-Kapalai Dive Resort. We will be back!

Room Tip: If you are diving stay close to the dive centre.

The best diving experience ever .. the clarity of the water , the marine life is just breath taking . managed 2 trips to Sipadan during the 4 day stay .. saw everything I could ever imagine and the absolute highlight was the diving with turtles - they were everywhere on a couple of the dive sites , magical. The rooms ( chalets really ) were spacious and well appointed. Staff were friendly and very helpful , the house reef is an added bonus. I have read some comments about the food , I would say it was absolutely fine for a buffet. The only slight negative was the number of non - diving mainland Chinese that cleaned the buffet out almopst immediately - the resort needs to think about this , not everyone wants to eat at 7.01 pm .. but thats the only option if you want to sample the full choice of the food.

Highly recommended place for total relaxation, we had a wonderful time the, staff are all friendly and helpful.

The only setback is the food not much variety and plain.
The crowd is mostly HK guest and only few local or caucasian.

Room Tip: This is a private place by its own, we have the sigh of the Mabul & water village, however its t...

Just got back from Kapalai and cant wait to get back.
The staff both dive and hospitality at the resort are great and cant do enough for you, the diving prep and transfers are extremely organised and proficient and from the first moment your head goes under at Sipadan you forget all the travel issues to get there !
We were extremely fortunate to get to have two days full diving at Sipadan , if diving is your thing then this is the place .
I thought the food was quite good and plenty of it , just be early as it is buffet style.
November is the start of the shoulder period as the monsoon season begins , so there were only about 100 people at the resort with 24 odd diving at any one time ( 6 to 8 per boat )

Highly recommended

Had a fabulous and memorable holiday there.

Great customer service.
Resort staff was friendly and warm.
Spacious villa accommodation - felt like 2nd home. Love the private sun bathing balcony with comfy deck chairs to stretch out on. Overlooking the marine life at the foot of the villa. Watched the turtles coming up for air and swimming around the villa.

Scuba dive crew was excellent with patient and knowledgeable Scuba Dive master guided trips.
Powerful and fast speedboats with friendly crew to take us to the destinations inclusive of Sipadan island diving/snorkeling.

Peaceful and restful - scenic sunsets, infinity horizons, aquamarine blue clear waters, clear skies at night, breezy balmy nights.

Sumptuous buffet spread of meals. Food and drinks available - both local and international selection. Multi-language dive books from Japanese, Korean, English....

Have been back multiple times and each time is the people and warm hospitality that made the difference. From airport pickup to resort and back.

Highly recommended resort.:)

Room Tip: For scuba divers, request for the villas closer to the Dive center. For honeymoon couples, there ar...

Its not easy to get here but once you arrive, you will understand why you had to pay so much. Kapalai is in the middle of nowhere and usually tourist are not inclined to come out here unless you are a diver. Yes this place is expensive but thats because everything must be brought in from mainland. There is no tv, no aircon but it didn't bother us. I'm just too happy to turn off my phone and enjoy my snorkel and 5 dives everyday. There is no need for aircon as the sea breeze is very cooling at night while you sip on your beer and you wake up to birds chirping in the morning! What more can you ask for? The waters are very clear, the marine life is amazing, you gotta try it. You see ALOT of marine life. All of my friends who saw the picture couldn't believe this is Malaysia. Food wise, don't expect too much from it but hey, you are diving after all. Can't have the best of everything right?
