Stunning location for an "affordable" price
You get a Maldive setting for only a fraction of the price
The bungalows are really nice and the scenary is just outstanding
The diving is of course the highlight of the place but when you are done, its really nice to enjoy the sunset on the deck
Only minor point is the food is not the best and not that diverse but I guess they have to bring everything from the mainland so we cant complain too much

Amazing place and staff.
No need to say how beautiful this place is.The staff were all extreme friendly. The food were great but some of the meat were over cooked, quite hard to chew.
The diving coach Lito took me to DSD,he is very encouraging and really make me want to study PADI course.
I had a wonderful experience there.

For a diver Kapalai is all that you read about and more, the rooms are huge with great views, turtles circle beneath you balcony and you can even see them from your bathtub. The dive crew is 2nd to none, they set up your gear, pack it down and have it ready for you anytime you like. With a great house reef to dive, Sipadan mins away and over 10 additional sites available to dive around the resort you wont be left disappointed as a diver regardless of weather conditions.
the staff around the whole resort were also fantastic and we have nothing but praise for every single one of them

P.S Barracuda point lives up to all expectations!.

On arrival by boat you will feel like arriving into a beautifull brochure. It looks astonishing. Clear blue water, great built, well maintained houses, a huge restaurant. There is a tremendous amount of staff around, the whole organization is a well oiled machine. But despite this, it all feels very personal and warm. The cottages are great, with a balcony on the water where the turtles swim by literally all day. The dive center is well equipped, the dive masters are all very professional and interested. We mainly dealed with Rodell and Mitchyo, both great fun people. Besides diving, there is plenty to do around the resort: you can go snorkelling, canoe, or just hang out around the restaurant or one of the many other booths that idyllic overlook the beautiful blue sea. I've seen many beautiful resorts, but worldwide for me, this is for now number one. (oh and by the way: this also applies for Sipadan island. You won’t believe it untill you see it for yourself.)

I can't imagine that one would visit the Sipadan-Kapalai Dive Resort for anything else but to dive (find it really strange when there are reviews that there's nothing for non-divers!), so, with that in mind, this is an amazing dive resort. The overwater bungalows are huge! The resort is pretty large so you can still roam around to various parts of the resort. Food is also pretty decent. Help, of course, that the waters are amazingly clear with many turtles and rays swimming around. All in all, my husband and I had an amazing time :)

Have you ever looked a gorgeous postcard of a place and promised yourself that you would go there one day? This was such a place for me. In fact, at that time I didn't even have my scuba license, but now I do. Wow, such crystal clear waters, stunning sunsets and remarkable diving here! Diving is all you do here and you do it well with professional dive masters, gear, boats and great dive sites. From pigmy sea horses, giant sea turtles, sharks, muck diving to the best sunrise dive ever! So worth getting up incredibly early to do that dive alone!! It's far away, Pulau, but worth getting here and checking this place out. This resort must be on every serious diver's hit list!

Room Tip: Get a west facing room to watch the stunning sunsets!

This resort did not disappoint! I have to admit, I was a little sceptical having looked at the pictures, compared to price paid for dive package... but it was truly spectacular! The diving was the best I have ever seen - an immense amount of big schoals of fish, of every possible variety, and coral that looks like the stuff you only ever see on National Geographic programmes. THe staff, throughout the resort were excellent - they cater for divers and non-divers with care and attention... and the resort is beautiful... where else can you lie in bed and look out to see.... sea, turtles, sea, turtles, sea, turtles ......
