We stayed at the Last Frontier last week with our family and friends in a group of four adults and five children aged 6 - 11. It was a fantastic experience except for the steps, but we knew about those on booking.
Jason and the staff were wonderful hosts and the food was excellent. We saw a wild organutan just 10 m from our verandah on the second morning. The river cruises were rally good too, but we did have a slight mishap on the second night cruise when the boat ran out of petrol and we had to drift in the river in the dark for 20 plus minutes while some more was brought to us via boat. We were lucky. The boat driver had mobile coverage at that part of the river!
The accommodation is basic but clean. It is v hot though and with no opening windows, there is no way to get airflow through. The fan is very good, but it is still a hot box and could really benefit from opening (screened) windows.
