We were very impressed with the entire memorial park and the efforts taken to establish and maintain it. As an Australian I felt very emotionally affected by the history of the POWs and the local people that helped. Their bravery and endurance against such barbaric treatment was humbling to read. To stand on the land where some of this took place was surreal.
