Checked in to this hotel few days ago for a three days two nights mini retreat. Found out that this hotel was started as a five stars hotel and formerly know as Renaissance Ramada Hotel, and now it's Sabah Hotel and the star rating had then dropped down to 4 stars (I guess).
Hotel food for "so, so" and the employees seems not well trained especially the older lady working at the lounge, as if we're bothering her work while we were having our coffee there.
Room's air condition needs to be improved!
Swimming pool is fantastic~~~ and the location is well covered by the tropical forest in the city!
Bottom line, cool place to enjoy your time in Sandakan and please have your meal in other outlets, not in this hotel.More
