“In the middle of the jungle - but in a good way!”
Reviewed 20 August 2014 via mobile

We stayed there for almost a week and it was a very nice time! Its close to Long Beach, but its not right at the beach. We liked it because we didnt hear the music from the fire shows that loud. Its also close if you want to walk to Coral Bay. The rooms were very simple and it can happen that you will see a visitor from time to time in your room. We had a spider, lizards and bugs inside our room. But I mean, the chalets are right in the jungle - so we were expecting that. As we heard from other travelers, it can be way worse in other hotels on the island. The rooms are quite cheap and the bathroom facilites were also alright. All in all, it was a great stay!

We stayed at the Bintang view for one night during our week stay on kecil. When we arrived we had to wait a long time to be able to check in which was fine and the staff were nice. There was no food in the restaurant though since they said the other staff was on leave. We were offered the last little bungalow all the way on the left near the bottem and thought it was ok for the price. However, the whole day a very loud generator was running close to our room. At night another generator was turned on and we were in a sandwich of noise. The next morning we packed our bags and went to the more tranguil coral bay side.

Bintang View is definitely a good option if you come to the Perhentians. We looked around mostly all of the accommodation on Kecil and Bintang was by far the best for your money. It is a basic room with a bed and mosquito net, wall fan and outdoor balcony. Its basically a big version of a cubby house. Electricity is from 7pm to 7am, which isn't bad for the island, although there are no power outlets in the room so make sure everything is charged before you come. I would recommend staying here if you like it cheap.. the quality doesn't get any better if you pay more on this island.

Good value for money. Finola was friendly and helpful. Hoping to visit again in the near future and would definitely recommend to backpackers to stay in Bintang View.

If your looking for good value and decent food in Perhentians, look for Ewan's Restaurant.

We stayed in a chalet with shower/toilet... the room was clean and cheap - rate did not decrease for long stay (8 nights) nor did it increase over busy period. Only thing we would've enjoyed is 24/7 electricity as rooms too hot during day if need shelter from the sun, that said, we'd stay again.
Hotel situated great location between Long Beach & Coral Bay beaches with friendly staff & views of Long Beach.

Me and my friend spent two nights in the chalets, and it was wonderful. The Irish woman who owns the place is really nice and helpful. The chalets are very simple, but with a nice little terrace. Toilets and showers are okay, and there is even toilet paper!
I can recommend this place to everybody who likes it cheap and simple.

I really enjoyed my stay at Bintang view. The place is basic but very cosy and quiet. It's located at Long beach, a bit higher up with a great view over the bay. Most of the huts are in the shade in a natural surrounding, so it doesn't get too hot there during the day and it is a quiet, beautiful hide out from the beach during the day. The smaller huts have shared toilets and showers but the owners pay great attention that everything is functional and extremely clean. The newly build bigger huts come with an inside shower. My hut had a cute little veranda in front of it and inside a mosquito net and fan were provided.
Finola, one of the owners can give valuable information about where to go and what to do during the stay on the island. Laundry service and snorkeling tours can be booked there. For people who like to read, there will be a great selection of books for sale. You will definitely find a good beach read there. Also, the place is very save, thanks to Jo, the other owner, who is on the lookout at night.
