“Beautiful sight, good service and delicious food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2014

The hotel has a very beautiful sight to the Ksar, from the dining and from the terrace, because it is located exactly in front of it.
Brahim was very helpful all the time and the traditional food was delicious. The price was OK.
I recommend you to stop by this quiet and awesome place. You will not regret it!

We stayed one night at Chez Brahim and the location was perfect. We arrived around 4pm and Brahim told us the best way to cross to the Kasbah and to do the loop walk to come back across the main bridge. The auberge was right opposite the entry to the Kasbah and we had enough time to have a good explore before sunset.
Dinner and breakfast were both wonderful but the huge Berber salon area was really cold with no heater. Definitely get the Berber omelette! Delicious!
The small parlor in the corridor to the rooms had a heater and a great view and was the only spot we got WiFi connection.
Our room was lovely, but again no heater. Once under the extra blankets we were warm but a heater would have made things much more pleasant.
The views from the roof were amazing. I braved the freezing morning to get some photos but the roof would be great in summer.
We had a hard time finding email contact details and had to book thru booking.com, so if anyone wants to contact him direct his email is bolkaid_ebrahim@hotmail.com
Would definitely stay again, but would probably see if the heated rooms upstairs were available.

We spent our New Year's Eve and the night after in this great Riad, run by mr Brahim and his lovely family just a stone thrown away from the spectacular Ait Ben Haddou. The location is simply amazing. You can literally wake up in the morning and stare at the monumental ksar.
The riad is easy to find on the main entrance of the village, really well located if you plan to visit the whole area between Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, Skoura, Telouet (the road to this village is a must-see if you are driving) and the other small villages around. The riad has its own private parking, which was perfect for our hired car.
During our stay we had dinner twice. On the New Year's Eve we chose the special berber menu, which consisted in a peageon an chicken pastilla, moroccan salad, a big tagine with two lamb chops, then fruit salad as dessert and some mixed moroccan cakes Be advised that the portions are massive!!! We had so much food that we had to leave some in the dishes - too bad as it was delicious!
The breakfast on the New Year Day was in the amazing roof terrace, where you can sit , eat and contemplate the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou as if you were the King of Morocco!
The dinner in the second night was an berber omelette, chicken tagine with some vegetables, and then mixed fruit. Again, we ate until we popped because the dishes were lovely but very big!
All the ingredients are local, fresh, everything is homemade. And don't leave this place without trying the the home made yoghurt. Delish!!
The room was spacious enough for a couple, the bathroom a bit small but worked well and shower has hot. Unfortunately there was no heating so the room was a bit humid and cold, but we had two thick bedcovers so we slept well. They don't provide hair dryer so if you need one bring from home!
Brahim is a very nice and careful host, his family also is lovely, joyful and warm.
Only cash payments are accepted so bear in mind to get it from an ATM, the closest we found was in Ouarzazate,
In case we will visit this place again, we will definitely choose Brahim's riad.

we stayed at Kasbah Valentine on 1st night and then moved here. The views from the hotel (room as well as the rooftop) is really amazing. you get a full view of the Ksar and that is we got from this place. the owner was indifferent. First we did not have our room key (apparently the previous guests took it to Marrakech and he did not have a spare - that was the official version). the food though tasty, was very expensive (200 D for lunch for 2 people). We never paid so much for food in a week's time in various cities of Morocco. The wifi did not work as promised and the owner simply kept insisting it works ! The bathroom wasn't clean and we had to request it to be cleaned after it was supposedly cleaned. The place didn't have a heater and it happened to be a cold windy night (Nov) in the Valley. Needless to say we are not likely to stay here.

Room Tip: eat in ouarzazate or elsewhere and come here , j/k food is costly here

I didn't stay in this hotel, but did eat a delicious meal in the restaurant, and purchased some gorgeous Berber rugs from the innkeeper, Brahim. He was extremely helpful, and kind, and shipped all our rugs in perfect condition back to the U.S.

If you’re not looking for a traditional western type of hotel, but rather for a typical Moroccan family run place, than this is probably one of the best choices in Aït BenHaddou.
Brahim is a friendly host and the whole place breaths Berber hospitality. Simple and typical Berber rooms, tapis on the ground. Good beds and when you’re lucky a room with a view. And what a view, one of the nicest you’ll probably find this side of the Atlas: a postcard of the old Aït BenHaddou with the Atlas Mountains on the background.
Rooms come with breakfast and dinner which were both excellent and with a strong local touch. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terras with view on the Ksar.
Highly recommended. Search for Maison d’hote Panaoramique, Chez Brahim Bolkaïd for contact data.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the rooms at the river side with view on the Ksar.
