This was one of the nicest stays we had during our trip through morocco. We spent our New Years Eve at this place. The location of the auberge is stunning (check out the view on the roof!) and the house itself is furnished in a very authentic and aesthetic way. Andi and his family are very welcoming. Andi has been living in morocco for many years and he has a huge knowledge about culture and politics in morocco and the rest of the Arabic world. It's very interesting talking to him!

It wasn't the first time that my wife and I visited Ait Benhaddou but it was the first time that we staid in the auberge "Tiguami Khadija".
We had a very warm welcome by Khadija and her husband Andy (German/Austrian) and from the first moment we felt like at home in their house, which is built in the original berber style of that region and decorated in a charming way.
You don't need to speak French to be understood like in many other places around there but both, Khadija and Andy also speak English and German.
In the evening Khadija surprised us with a delightful and very rich tajine while Andy told us quite a bit about the history of Ait Benhaddou and pointed out some "must to see" places in the area.
Our room was quite big and the beds very comfortable. When we woke up next morning all the four of us, my wife, her two sisters and myself decided to spend another day in that place, something that hadn't been planned before.
After a few minutes walk we reached the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and later on discovered some nearby villages.
On our return in the evening Khadija was already waiting with a magnificent coscous, which delighted even my moroccan wife and her sisters who are very critical in these matters.
After another quiet and comfortable night we had to leave that place and keep it in good memory.
It's the right place for couples and families with children since Khadija and Andy have two children of about 5 and 7 years, Maria and Younes.
For us it was our first but sure not the last visit at their home.

Thanks to Andi and his wife Khadija as well to their small and super cute children Maria and Jonis! From the first second on you felt welcomed and well treated. The rooms were excellent and the showers (like promised) warm and super clean :) The food was fantastic - in total I can say without any doubt that it is the best adress in Ait Ben haddou if you are looking for a wonderful experience in the heart of Marocco :)

On our way to Ait Ben Haddou with our rental car, we stopped to offer a ride to a European man waiting near the road. It turned out to be the Austrian owner of Auberge Tiguami Khadija.
In Ait Ben Haddou he let us park our car near his house, showed us where to enter the Kasbas, told us about the history of the town and invited us to come over to the Auberge for tea. Our 2-year-old son had a lot of fun with the 4-year-old daughter of the owners.

Even though we did not stay at his Auberge (we had a hotel in Ouarzazate) I would recommend it, because of the friendly owner and the good impression we had of the hotel.
