After a long drive through the Atlas Mountains we had no idea what to expect fro Dar Mouna. With it's terrace overlooking the river and great views of the Kasbah we couldn't have asked for more relaxed and beautiful accomodation. The staff were excellent and attentive and the food was a delight (not a tagine!). Although, perhaps , lacking in the Spa and luxury that would normally generate a 5 star rating this peaceful haven provided us with one of our best nights in Morocco.

The view from our room at Ait Ben Haddou was stunning. It is very nice to wake up with this view. The breakfast is also served on the terrace with this view. It is a short walk to Ait Ben Haddou. The staff is very helpfull. They always answer your questions. The room is basic, but with a hot shower, nice bed and chairs. The hotel has a pool. The restaurant is great, they will serve a menu with is the same for every guest, but the food is delicious. You can also have a bottle of wine here.

The traditional Maroccan Dar Mouna hotel has an absolutly terrific staff. Very helpfull and friendly and makes you feel right at home as soon as you enter the gate. The hotel has a swimming pool and has an excellent view of the Kasbah across the (dry) river. Rooms were basic but very fine and clean.

We spent here one night. The room was average, the bathroom too. The views though from the terrace on the kasbah are unforgettable. The breakfast was nice. We did not have diner in the restaurant, but it did look really good. The pool too, although it was rainy and chilly when we were there, so we did not try it.

A wonderful place to stay when you want to explore the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. Nice authentic rooms and the lounge is perfect to relax and enjoy the free WIFI. The restaurant is OK, but don't be afraid to explore the tajines at other local restaurants.
