We arrived in Chefchaouen in the afternoon after a drive from Rabat and found we had to lug our baggage up a steep incline to reach Dar Zman. But it wasn't too far from the road and an easy enough entry to the medina. Dar Zman is pretty small and cosy and the stairs to thr upper rooms are quite narrow too. Our friend got a room on the ground floor and my wife and I on the first floor. Our room was small but neat. There wasn't much of a view from the tiny window though. We went and explored the medina a bit and returned later to shower before dinner.
The bathroom is small and the shower area is the tiniest I have seen in 5 continents. I note some reviewers complain about thr hot water but in the 1 day we spent, we didnt have this problem. But we did bump our elbows many times trying the shower! Breakfast was decent and they have free internet which works well mostly on the ground floor. I would seek other options if you are going to be spending several days in Chefchaouen.More
