We found Casa Perleta by chance on the Internet as we had our last few days in Morocco. All the rooms were lovely (we had four of them), the terrace had wonderful views of Chefchaouen and everyone was helpful. So easy to find everything from Casa Perlata, especially the great walks into Rif Mountains

Well located 200 metres or so inside the Bab Souk gateway to the medina, but not too difficult to access or find, Casa Perleta is a blue and white dream, staffed by wonderful people who take every opportunity to ensure your stay is perfect in every way. Everything is spotlessly clean, fresh towels are available if needed, toiletries are provided, and all rooms and areas are furnished and presented with exquisite traditional taste. Did I mention the central heating which works? Breakfast is a delicious feast and is taken in the courtyard or on the spacious and plush rooftop terrace. Dates, fresh goat cheese, toasted bread, freshly sqeezed orange juice, great coffee, olives and churros still warm from the vendor next door all combined to kick start each fascinating day here. I was recovering from a stomach bug which my partner then succumbed to, and the owners and live in manager cared for him as if he were family - insisting on preparing restorative drinks, vegetable soup and boiled rice. We felt that our room, although a bit cramped around the bed, was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was well ventilated and we had an external window to the street which meant we could hear street noise, but that didn't disturb us at all, after all...it's Morocco. We felt as if we had our own window on the wonderful world of Chefchaouen. It is always a risk to stay somewhere with so many perfect reviews on tripadvisor, but after our experience, we can only add to the accolades.

This has to be the prettiest and most relaxing guesthouse I have ever stayed at. It is run by Begona and Mohammad who are very welcoming making you feel very comfortable during your stay and will recommend the best restaurants and activities in the area. It is clean, quiet, safe and right in the heart of the medina. The view from the terrace is spectacular, perfect for relaxing with a mint tea. Try the spanish donut type ring served at breakfast or sold next door. I honestly didnt want to leave.

Chefachaouen is a dream in blue and white
Casa Perleta is very nicely nestled in the old Medina with a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy your tea and pastry
The rooms are small but comfortable, excellent breakfast in the morning in the patio.
Begona, the manager, is very helpful: she met us outside the gate of the medina and then gave us a ton of information

We stayed in the Casa Perleta for three nights at the start of our honeymoon. The riad is in a quite part of the medina, but no more than five minutes walk from the town square. The rooms are beautifuly decorated as are the bathrooms. The riad also has a lovely terrace with great views where you can enjoy the view, the excellent breakfasts and the neverending supply of mint tea.

Begonia, Mohammed and Fatima could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Begonia was full of advice about where to eat and what to see and was very generous with her time. We had problems with our car insurance and Mohammed changed his shift (during Ramadan) to phone the insurance brokers for us - many thanks again!

An absolute pleasure to meet such nice people and stay in such a beautiful house. Discover this gem before the guide books do!
