The location of Atlas Chaouen had its advantages and disadvantages - the views are absolutely beautiful and as it's further up the hill, it gives you a chance to escape the at times stressful below in the centre of town. However, to walk into to town we had to climb down alot of steep (and fairly treacherous when it was raining!) steps, so when it came to going back up to the hotel, we chose to take a taxi (15 dirhams).
The rooms were fine - quite dated but fairly clean. The TV was better than expected, and the bathroom we especially liked. We ate breakfast and evening meals in the hotel, which was to a very satisfactory standard. There is a bar downstairs too, which was fairly quiet, and had some comfy seats. We had a pleasant stay, but apart from the views, it was nothing to rave about.
