Stayed here for one night as a part of our backpacking trip to Morocco.

The location is on the opposite side of the medina than the bus stop, so you will almost certainly get people trying to get you a taxi. However, as Chefchaouen is small, you can easily walk it if you feel confident enough to navigate the streets. Great location for the waterfall.

We had a room on the top floor, it was very traditional, on the smaller size, but very cozy. The toilet/shower were in a combined room (quite a typical Moroccan setup) next door within a 'unit' we had. Modest, but functional. There was a lovely roof terrace/patio shared by us and another room, perfect for relaxing and with great views. Felt very comfortable and relaxed in the room and the patio, could easily spend a week there.

The service was not great, we were greeted by a guy speaking barely any English who gave us the keys, took our passports and said when his brother comes he will sort things out. However, as we spent most of the day outside, we never met the said brother. We were leaving at around 10am the next morning with the hotel deserted, so it took some time to find someone to give us the passports and get our payment. Not ideal if if you're trying to get to the bus station in time.

Obviously got woken up by the 5am prayer call, but that is part of Morocco and their well-established loudspeaker system. No breakfast option.

Would come back, I felt very comfortable and cozy, but the service could be better.

The hotel itself is quite modest: small rooms with awkward nooks and crannies, no aircon or breakfast facilities. However what makes this place special and different from anywhere else in Chefchaouen is the atmosphere. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. We also met the owner during our stay and he went out of his way to help us out with anything we needed.
The garden was an unexpected pleasant treat, nice place to relax in the afternoons and has quite a nice view of the church on the hill.
What this place lacked in sophistication it made up for in character: from the unusual-shaped rooms to the garden and even the pet chameleon, it made our stay in the city a really nice one.
Location is great too. Would recommend.

Rooms are very cozy, with a true morrocan staff that are very helpfull and VERY friendly! Location is very good, 5min walk to waterfall, 2min walk to bread bakery (10h30 morning hot bread!!), 2 min walk to fruit stand and dairy shop. Has the most spectacular garden in chaouen, but becarefull, time can fly sitting in the gardens esplanade!

Really lovely building, the rooms are cozy and functional - oh the mosque.....yes, 5am, call to prayer with better speakers than an Ibizian club night but you get used to that after a couple of days. You might get stuck here, we did, it's lovely. The setting and situation are ideal for wandering about the beautiful streets of Chefchaouen & only 5 minutes walk to the water fall & the mountain views are ace. BUT......if you want food or coffee, you've no chance before 5pm....even then, you'll be lucky. I guess the owner was away when we stayed maybe it would be different if he'd been there, ah well, there is reason enough to go back - Love it :)

Hotel molino has a very moroccan feel to it,like we were living in a moroccan family home. The staff, Bilaal and yaseen were very friendly, helpful and tried to accomodate for all our needs. The breakfast outside was pleasant and basic. The view from the hotel is beautiful, having a mosque a few metres away. However our bed sheets were old and the hotel could use with a spring clean. It is also quite a far walk up from the bus station considering u can't take a taxi up the alleys.
