Great Moroccan food, but like most meals, they have a tendency to over cook the vegetables. But we found that to be true where ever we ate. That seems to be the norm for vegetables. Our group had multiple entres and we shared. Don't fill up on the bread and olives (a normal pre meal staple). The lamb and chicken was delicious. A three course meal for one will run about $10.US not including any beverages (beer or soda only). There are two major beers in Morocco. "Special" and "Casablanca". I found Special to be arather weak beer but very popular. "Casa" is a heavier "ale type" of beer, more to my liking.

The views over the square are great but the food we were served was very average. As we were recommended to eat here by our guest house, we were rather disappointed. Maybe we were unlucky.

Ate here twice because food was really good and staff so friendly. View of sunset from terrace tables is magic. Aubergine entry and chicken tajine really excellent. Well priced.

We had drinks on the top level and enjoyed the sunset. We then went inside for our meals. The food was good, I had Moroccan soup, chicken tagine with prunes and almonds followed by sweet pancakes. It was delicious. The service was excellent, the stairs proving no problem for the efficient young waiters.

We needed to kill some time before dinner and also wanted a good view of the square in Chefchaouen. Aladdin seemed a good option. We couldnt find much to snack off the menu though, so ended up with mint tea and the house flan, the latter being quite pedestrian. We chose a table right at the top of the many-layered cafe, and it became quite cold and windy in some time, prompting us to leave. Service was quick and cheerful.
