location: Very close to the dunes of the Sahara - beautiful to watch the sunset and sunrise. As this hotel is 10 minutes drive from Merzouga town - there is nothing in the area within walking distance besides a couple of hotels and a very small corner store with basic items.
staff: The owner at the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. We found the other staff members to be pleasant. We were able to have late check out due to a late departing bus which was great and we were very appreciative of this.
Price: The price of the room was great and very affordable and breakfast was included which was nice. The tours we were offered (4x4 tour seemed quite expensive for just a couple of hours) so we did not take advantage of these. The meals at the hotel were also quite pricey - 100 Dihrams ($13AUD) for a tagine or cous cous meal, per person.
Room: The room was decorated traditionally, very spacious and had beautiful views of the dunes from the window. The tiles in the bathroom are a bit vomit inducing (you'll know what we mean if you stay here..) and the water leaks right through the bathroom onto the slippery tiles.
Overall: This is a decent place for the price, tours seem excessive and food is very expensive given the location.
