Our friends found this place and we arrived a bit disoriented and starved after a long drive from Fez. It was a GREAT spot to spend the night - delicious dinner and then cozy - if short - night's stay (in the freezing desert winter) before a 5:30 am camel ride to see sun rise over the dunes. A FREEzing experience, but I thought worth it - just bundle up and know that breakfast will be delicious after.

We had them get us a guide the next am, which wasn't ideal - make sure they find someone who speaks good English (or your language) and has a clear idea of your expectations for activity on the tour.

Overall, a GREAT spot!

Before reviewing this beautiful place I would like to say something about the trip from Timahdite to Merzouga: the landscapes are just amazing! This is morocco at it's most beautiful, it's breathtaking! Ksar Sania just fits perfectly in this scenario. French hospitality, excellent food, very nice rooms, swimming pool, feet in sand, cosy, truly an oasis in the desert.

Almost forgot to mention: please get rid of the cockroaches! I know they won't do any harm, it just doesn't look too good in a bedroom..

After an incredibly uncomfortable 9-hour bus ride by night, Ksar Sania was just a very welcoming place with the pool and the amazing views of the dunes. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was very original with its floor with embedded rocks . The food was really good. The hosts, even though they were French, really gave us a great sample of Moroccan foods over our 3-night stay. Breakfast were very generous. Francoise came to pick us up at the bus stop, so we didnt have to worry about all the fake guides who jumped on all the tourists as we arrived to sell us a room... Would definitely go back, but more likely when it's not so hot (48 degrees...) I miss the cute dog and cats running around... felt like bringing it home...

This is a wonderful place, almost in the desert. Beautiful architecture.
As it was difficult to find, we called ahead and the owner, Françoise, came to meet us by car to drive in front of us and guide us.
The rooms were exceptional and in beautiful Moroccan style.
Dinner very good. They make wonderful tajines.
Breakfast is sober but good. Especially pastries and bread.
After our stay we did a camel hike of 2 days through the desert, also arranged by Françoise.
It was a very nice experience.
Nothing negative to tell. I hope Françoise is doing well, she is a lovely lady and she has a lovely place!

After a long day on the road from Fés, we arrived at Ksar Sania for our first ever Desert experience.
The room was an amazing surprise. Unique, cozy and truly authentic, using the traditional methods and architecture.
Françoise made us truly welcome and we had a great time at her place.
She is doing a fantastic job, rebuilding an oasis in the desert.
A place to be recommended. We look forward to our return.
