My partner and I took the 4 day trip starting in Marrakech, going to Ait Ben Haddou, Todra Gorge, the Sahara desert and back to Marrakech. We had an amazing time! The tour guide never rushed us anywhere. At the same time, if we wanted to skip something, he did not oppose either. The riads we stayed during the first and second night were clean, hospitable and provided the basics. The third night was quite the adventure. We were hit by a sandstorm so unfortunately we couldn't sleep, however, the tents were comfortable.

The only negative encounter we had was on the fourth day. The tour guide asked my boyfriend if he had any money because he didn't. We thought it was for a tip. He said yes and asked the tour guide how much. He was asking for 1,000 dirham! We said we only had 600 and he took 600. That left us with 120 dirham left get by until we reached Marrakech. Since it was Ramadan, almost every single exchange place was closed, along with cheap restaurants. We went to a restaurant and had to split a meal between both of us, which was not the ideal way of ending such a marvelous trip. Thankfully the 600 dirham was discounted from the total price.

Apart from that hiccup, we absolutely loved the trip.

My friends and I joined a 3 days and 2 nights desert tour from Marrakech in April this year. The whole experience was very good. Our guide Brahim was absolutely fabulous. He speaks very good English and he knows the places very well. He took care of us well and the 3 days we spent together were truely memorable. The desert itself is natures wonder. I was also impressed by how organised the tour was. The company responded to our inquiries very quickly before we went to Morrocco which was very important for first time travellers. They were also very flexible in itinerary/accommodationarrangements. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We have just arrived back in Canada after our 8 day tour of Morocco with your tour group and our guide Youssef. We had a wonderful trip with the tour that was planned out for us. We were very impressed with how organized everything was and with how prompt all of the arrangements were. It was also great to receive such prompt replies to our emails and to have arrangements changed so quickly due to our flight delays.
Our guide was excellent and we feel that much of the reason the trip was so enjoyable was because of him. He spoke very good english and was so kind, polite and welcoming. We had a lot of fun touring with him and we became more like friends. He was able to make us feel very comfortable in a country that was otherwise very foreign to us. He was always on time to meet us and available if we needed him in the evenings for any reason. We have been on tours in other countries in the past and can honestly say that he had everything we look for in a guide. All in all, we are happy customers and would certainly recommend Morocco Desert Tours to anybody that we know who would like to travel to Morocco and would especially recommend Youssef as a guide.

I set up a 8 nights 9 days tour arround morocco (Marrakech-Fez-Merzouga/Desert/Dromedarios-Ouarzazate-Dades Gorges-High Atlas-Marrakech, plus passing for other places)
For a family of 6 (all grown up adults)

Resume: Its a beutifull and amazing country, the tour was pefectly organized, perfect acomodationes in the riads, just in the midle of the Medina (old, wall sorrounded part of the citie), excelent human quality of the driver and guides, amazing experience in the dessert and with the short dromedario riding. 10 out of 10 for the complete experience.

About the tour company - guide - driver - and organization:
Car: Private, almost new, 4x4, enaugh space, for moving between cities and in-off road. A few times we use some van for shorter segments or inside some cities.

Guide/driver: He was waiting for us at the airport, and he drove us arround the country, also in charge of organizing the details of acomodations and some specific guides for every citie.
Brahim is the perfect guide and an amazing person, a berber originally from a semi nomad family from the Atlas Mountains, self learned english, spanish (a little bit of others) beside bereber and arabic. Kind, helpfull, intresting, allways happy and looking how to make your time even better.

City guides: local people, kind, with a lot of knowledge of the citie history, monuments and spots.

Accomodations: more than perfect. Inside the big cities we saty in riads, this are like boutique hotels, in the midle of the medina (the wall sorrounded historical part of the citie). It's not a 5 star hotel, but, at least for us it was better. They are like big acomodated houses with a inside open area and rooms sorounding it. Really clean and tidy, perfect beds, calefaction and/or aircon. (dont be afreid if you are standing outside and you only see a wall and a door in a little alley... all the houses an riads inside the all part of the citie are like this, no windows to the extirior, they dont show luxury outside thei own walls) Plus home made breakfast. IMPORTANT: The medinas are really crowded of people, little streats, and most of them no ment for cars (even if they allow trafic in marrakech), probably you are going to feel a little (or a lot) unsafe at the biggining, but there is nothing to be affraid, It s not dangerous at all (it just look diferent), and for the same reazon it's not posible to take you to the door of the riad, they park, and the guide you by walking a few blocks in to the riad (the other choice would be to be taken by car to the door of a hotel Outside the old citie... NO CHANCE!!!)
One night in a tent in the midle of the sahara (but they arrenge a bed inside the tent), other nights in a hotel in the atlas mountains.

Dromedario ride: 30- 40min ride in dromedarios to the camp site in the midle of sahara... I have no words to descrive it.

Organization: Almost perfect, all work as we wanted (I arrenge the number of days an places, but after having the expirience, I recomend at least 10 nights for a similar place... If you have the time, just go for the complete month, it really worth it)

Finally: Its not a place for parties (Its not a country for parties, so dont go seraching for that), provably an axcellento trip for families, groups of friends, couples... alone? maybe not the best choice (And I have travle alone in europe, australia, argentina, US, etc)

It was a pleasure to take a five-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fez with this company. Our contact with the company was professional from the beginning. Our emails were answered promptly, sometimes even within hours. Our guide, Mohammed, was professional, knowledgeable, and kind. He was flexible, able to adapt the tour according to our desires. He was also extremely prompt, and an excellent, safe driver. It was relaxing to immerse ourselves in the magic of Morocco without having to stress about driving or accommodations. The camel overnight was great. I was worried that it would be too touristy, but it was done quite well. I highly recommend this company.
