“Beautiful riad in paradise garden”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

After a few hundred meters through a narrow path between stone walls, we found a real paradise behind the doors of Les Jardins Du Draa. A marvelous garden including a beautiful swimming pool and everywhere seats where owner/manager Pascal offers you a welcome drink to greet. Dining in the garden is a celebration because of the very friendly service (applies to all the people that are working there), the beautiful surroundings of the garden, and the quality of the dishes. Pascal is always there to help, contribute ideas (such as a walk from the Riad around the sand dunes and inhabited settlements) or organise things. A wonderful and very well organised place that I can recommend to anyone.

The gardens at Les Jardins du Draa are even more stunning than they look in the pictures we saw on their website. Its just a lush explosion of beautiful plants, trees and flowers all set out in such a way as to provide private nooks and crannies for relaxation. The pool is pretty big and there's a little bar in the garden too to enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine. The food was amazing, both in its quality and quantity. We had plenty of tagines in Morocco but none were better than those at this place. And the three course dinner was good value too at 120 dirhams a head - they put up the menu in the morning so that you can see what will be cooked that night to give you the option of eating there or going elsewhere.

The hotel also has a desert guide there and can organise excursions to the desert. Our bedroom was cool and spacious with a decent bed. Although we understand that water is precious in this part of the world, it was still difficult to control temperature or flow in the shower and the bathroom overall was shabby.

We found the managers Pascal and Veronique to be a little lacking in warmth. Everywhere else we stayed in Morocco, we received the warmest of welcomes and language was never a barrier. However, Pascal and Veronique barely spoke to us during our two night stay. So although this hotel is very good, particularly the beautiful external areas, it would have been outstanding if the welcome had been just a bit warmer.

Beautiful Riad with superb servive. The room was spacious and a great bed. We had a great trip into the desert with dinner by candle light. It is a great place to go into the desert or unwind by the pool. The drive from Marrakesh was long but great scenery.

We spend a week at the JArdin du Draa and the hosts Pascale and Veronique have been very kind; they give you a homy feeling and help you with anything you need. Rooms are very big and nice and clean, good morrocan meals, clean swimming pools and after a 2 days desert trip the perfect place to relax and being pampered! The guide they are working with, Mahjoub is taking perfectly care of you outside the doors of the Riad on the trip to the desert, in a prfessional and friendly way. He speaks very good english and makes the trip very special for your needs. All in all a perfect place to stay and go to.

We have stayed a few days at the Riad and Pascal and Veronique who operate the Riad made us very welcome and treated us the whole time with great hospitality, both of them are very kind and try to fulfill any wish you have. We enjoyed the food in the Riad, we even didn't bother going anywhere else. Rooms were all very clean and on a high standard, we will go back and stay with them again and also recommended them to other people who made the same experience. We also went with the guide Mahjoub who has grown up in Zagora and works for the Riad , for a 2 day trip into the desert. He looked after us very well. His knowledge, guidance and friendly attitude was a highlight of the trip. He took us on a scenic drive to M'hmid including stops in tamagroute and other villages. We stayed a night in a camp in the desert, had an excellent Moroccan meal and we even watched one of the cooks baking bread in an open fire! The taste was delicious! After that the cook , Mahjoub and another guy played some Berber music! We really enjoyed that! Generally he is extremely friendly, personable, attentive, knowledgeable, honest, professional and helpful. He speaks very good English. We have made a friend in Morroco - you' ll want to hang on! We highly recommend his services.

We came here before went to the Sahara and it was amazing. A beautiful house, surrounded by a big garden with a big pool and very nice French owners and Moroccan personel. The rooms were not really luxurious and the bathrooms neither, but they were big and clean. The food was good and not too expensive.

It is not really in the centre, but in the palm gardens so a perfect spot to relax before and after the Sahara! Good value for money.

This was our best hotel - and it was more than a hotel - during our travel accross Morocco.
This Kasbah stands hidden in the heart of Zagora owned by a Frenchman who is always present and is very helpful as well as his staff. As it is a small hotel you are really cared after. You can ask what time you would like to have breakfast and dinner for example. The pool and the pool area is wonderful as well as the garden. The rooms are spacious and exquisitely decorated in Moroccan style as well as the whole hotel area. The food is delicious and you have - of course - free wifi. If you are going by it is a must to spend at least one night there!

Room Tip: Each room is differently decorated but all are wonderful!
