We used the Time Out Morocco guide to find a suitable place to stay close to Zagora. It recommended 'Le Sauvage Noble' and we turned up without booking.
We had a warm welcome and were shown the rooms, which were beautifully decorated, each one having an individual theme - the decor and finish is superb and authentically Moroccan.
We were the only guests at the riad and were royally looked after. The evening meal was huge and tasty and we enjoyed the opportunity to relax in the garden, chatting to Abdellah, the owner. (It helps if you can speak French or German).
Breakfast was also extensive, with a wide and tasty range of breads, pastries, OJ, coffee and tea. Most pleasant!
The en-suite facilities were very good - In contrast to most of the accommodation we had on our trip around Morocco; soap, toilet paper and towels were all provided.
Our only wish would have been for a fan in the bedroom. It was summer when we stayed so very hot and uncomfortable at night without one.
