This hotel is a real bargain given the prices in Lagos. The lobby has an elegant Middle East feel to it and the staff is friendly but the rooms have some issues. This smaller hotel is in a fairly central location on Victoria Island - nothing is within walking distance but then again Lagos is hardly a great pedestrian city. The hotel is gated and felt very secure.
There is a restaurant, hair salon and spa in the lobby. I had a couple of drinks in the Chinese restaurant but never actually ate there. There is wi-fi but the connection was quite erratic and hard to rely on. Service was friendly and energetic but brought the wrong items a few times.
I had two rooms in my stay there. The are pretty basic and the bed was comfortable enough but there were other problems. I had issues with hot water in both rooms, the tv didn't work in one room and there was a mini-stair master that collapsed when I gave it a try. The sink also had a small leak onto the floor below. The power went out at least once a day for a short period but this is typical for Lagos. The air conditioning did work great however.
If you are on a budget and don't have overly high expectations, this property would be suitable. Otherwise I would recommending paying up and staying at an international chain.
