We were booked in here by our tour operator, for one night after doing the Inca Trail. Initial impression of front desk area was good, clean area, nice outlook of river.
Our room was dated, but clean, with good linen and comfortable bed. Bathroom was small, with basic shower. No facilities in room to making a drink and no fridge.
At first the noise of the river was a talking point, and it is certainly a fearsome sight. However, the noise is thunderous, and never lets up. We were on the second floor, in the corner room, and could hear it all the time - so do consider this if you want a quiet nights sleep, because it is not possible here.
The following day, on going down for breakfast, we were greeted with stone cold toast, stone cold pancakes, stale bread - all of which had obviously been out for a good hour or so, and a member of staff who watched our every move ..... most off-putting. When we asked the staff member why there was no hot toast, she just shrugged, and then proceeded to touch every piece of toast that was on display.
This hotel is located at the lower end of Aguas Calientes, away from the main tourist areas and train station, but a short 5-10 minute walk.
Not a bad hotel, but am sure there are better in same price-range.

Room Tip: Consider the noise of the river - may be difficult to get away from it.

With the plethora of hotels and hostels on offer in Aguas Calientes, one has to wonder why my agent booked me in this hotel. The only thing good it had to offer was free WiFi (which a lot of places offer anyway).
As you get off the bus or train, you have to drag your luggage down a hill to this establishment, and what's worse is when you check out you have to lug it all again up hill. And it is a steep hill.
There is only one store nearby.
WIth so many other better located places in Aguas Calientes, book elsewhere near the shops, eateries, bars, etc.
This hotel is noisy too with the Urubamba River right at your doorstep.

We arrived and were given a room in the back which faced the train tracks. Very noisy! We asked to be moved and were given a side room with double bed and disgustingly dirty carpet. Not even vacuumed. The room was just dirty. This was 120.00 per night and is the worst hotel we've stayed in Peru. I would not recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Stay at another hotel.

Stayed here for overnight in MP. Out early next morning to hike WP. Bag was in my room upon arrival (taken to hotel while I was at MP), but this is otherwise no frills place. No elevator, no bathmat for floor, no lights always on in hallways (everything works on motion sensors - going for LEED certification maybe?). Very basic accommodations, but staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was like what I experienced in other hotels in Peru, except here they actually made eggs to order. Checked out prior to catching bus for WP hike and upon return staff gave me no problem when I asked to wash up and change some clothes in lobby restroom.

I wasn't looking for luxury in my stay at MP, just a clean room and comfortable bed to sleep, so this property was fine.

This is a nice hotel with clean rooms containing a safe and tv. The bathroom we had is a little small. Difficult to close the door while using the restroom. The view and sound of the river was great. Meals were included with our reservation, breakfast lunch and dinner. The food was good. The only thing that was a little inconvenient is the day we arrived we had to order the same food because they had to prepare it quickly. The street is fairly quiet at night but bus activity on the street starts early. The location is good close to the restaurants, the train station and the bus station. The staff was helpful and efficient.

Stayed here for a night. We had a room in front of building facing river. I'm going to say its exactly what is expected...a hotel in the middle of nowhere. We enjoyed our stay, clean rooms, tv, and a warm comfortable bed after a long day of hiking. The breakfast in the morning was good. The service was very nice and held our bags for a day while we hiked around as well. I'd recommend this hotel if your not looking for a five star luxury place, yet a great place to unwind by the sounds of the river, get a shower (ran out of hot water for a few minutes) and a good nights sleep, and grab a bite to eat. Who wants to hang out in a hotel when theres so much else to do anyways.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in front of building facing river.
