A very good hotel which met all my expectations. Nothing fancy but the room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was big enough. Only issue could be the noise coming from outside since the windows are not completely soundproof. The location of the hotel is ideal since it's only one minute walk from the boarding point of the buses to Machu Picchu.

Very good location next to the bus stop going to MP. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious, with a desk and cable TV. Good breakfast and lunch buffet. Very nice service at reception. Definitely recommend staying there.

Friendly staff and very conveniently located within one block of bus stop to Machu Picchu and/or 5 minute walk to train station.

Queen suite was large and clean with a balcony overlooking river and a jacuzzi tub.

Hotel provides complimentary service to hold luggage after check out while visiting town or Machu Picchu which is a very convenient service.

Complimentary breakfast buffet was good but delayed with providing hot entrees during our stay.

Recommended!

Room tip: Stay here after hiking the Inca Trail or visiting Machu Picchu so you can truly enjoy the Jacuzzi tub.

We spent one night at the Tierra Viva Machu Picchu hotel in room 412. We stayed after our tour of Machu Picchu.

The room was adequate but nothing to write home about. The bathroom floor was wet in the grout lines due to a leaking toilet. The bathroom floor is smooth tile and dangerously slippery when wet.

The hotel is centrally located, only a block from the bus pick-up to go to Machu Picchu and a short walk from the train station. The bathroom lacked a place to store things, like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and shaving cream, in bathroom. Shower drainage was extremely slow, leaving you standing in a pool of soapy, dirty water. There were no washcloths. However, the bed was very comfortable.

Our check-in was fine, and the staff members were friendly. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow and nearly every attempt to access a web site or send anything more than a simple text would time out. It was slower than most of the other hotels we stayed in during our twelve-day visit. Breakfast was fine, with everything you would expect. The 10 a.m. check-out time seemed early.

The bar was reasonably priced.
