“Beautiful but beware of the chainsaw”
Review of Spa del Bosque

Spa del Bosque
Reviewed 27 June 2018 via mobile

The setting is stunning and the staff was very professional and accommodating. They quickly called in an additional massage therapist so we didn't have to wait or do our massages consecutively. However the experience was probably not worth the very steep price of 300 soles ($100) an hour. The massage itself was good but not great and definitely overshadowed by the very loud chainsaw that sounded like it was about to come through the ceiling at any moment. Aguas Calientes is under constant construction so noise is expected but the sound proofing here could use an update as well. At least turn up the background music.

The spa hot tub and sauna were a nice added bonus, included in the price of the massage. These services are free to hotel guests, I believe. They even provide disposable bikinis. If you're staying at the hotel definitely check out the spa and soak in the tub but wait till you get back to Cusco to indulge in a massage.

Thank lokelley

Dear guest,

Spa del Bosque is an elegant organic spa located on the top floor of El MaPi hotel in Machu Picchu village, with a panoramic view of the cloud forest.

We appreciate your feedback that will help us to keep us improving, usually our location is very quiet but we appreciate the time you took to write us about this. We will look into options of avoiding this situation in the future.

Thank you for choosing Spa del Bosque!
