Stayed here two nights in March, before and after my trip to Machu Picchu. The hostel is 100 m from the train station. It is new and clean.Biggest plus of this hostel is the proximity to everything in Aguas Calientes.Restaurants, shops, bus to Machu Picchu, town square, it's all five minutes walk or less.
The room size is sufficient if you are on your own but I think it's very uncomfortable to share with another person. The bathroom had hot shower. No shampoo.
Wifi was free.
The river and the railway are just outside the window.Very noisy, don't forget yours earplugs. Also a lot of noise from others travellers so you wouldn't get much sleep.
Breakfast at 6 A.M. was decent, nothing special. The staff was polite.
Overall a good stop for two nights.

Room Tip: Ask a room next the river, it's more pleasant.

This small hotel is located right above (and I mean RIGHT ABOVE) the crashing Urubamba River. It is a noisy sound but I liked it (not that I had any trouble sleeping for the first time in a bed in 5 nights after the Inca Trail). There was no soap, and the towels were minimal, but there were amenities that made up for it: FREE pisco sours on check in, a hot breakfast cooked to order, and the kindness of the staff to escort us to our restaurant when they didn't have the English, and we didn't have the Spanish, to communicate directions. Above and beyond.

Room Tip: If you're not scared of falling in, pick a river view room and enjoy the power of nature. Just d...

Nice little hostel between the railroad line and the river. Rooms are clean and the hot shower was much welcomed after a day in the rain and fog up at Machu Pichu. Happy to pay the price of 156 s (about 56 USD) for a twin room to this friendly staff.

As many of the other reviewers mention, this hotel is right along the train station, so be aware of noise (the last train is around 11pm). Rooms are small but clean, found the bathrooms to be one of the better ones we came across during our stay in Peru.

I found the staff to be especially helpful. They provided a takeaway breakfast for us the night before since we had plans to leave before breakfast service the next day. When we returned from MP the next afternoon, the owner was kind enough to let us take showers in an unoccupied room, even after we had already checked out! Since we had a train ride and night bus ride ahead of us, were MOST appreciative of the free shower. Thank you, Adelas' Hostel!

We stayed in Adelas for one night, and for us it was fine for one night. Don't expect too much but it has the basics. The location is 2 minute walk away from the buses to Machu Picchu (MP). I found the room to be very clean (above my expectations) and the hot water was working perfectly. The walls are very thin, but that counts for a lot of places we stayed in Peru. The staff was helpful (maybe because we speak Spanish) and even advised us to get to MP around 7 a.m., since it will be misty and the sun doesn't rise until about that time. When we arrived downstairs for breakfast at 6 a.m. a kind gentleman was waiting for us to make us breakfast just in time in order to be at MP around 7 a.m.

The only con for us was that the rooms are situated either on the side of the river or on the side of the street/train tracks (which is the same side where people walk up and down to restaurants, shops, etc.). Even though I had reserved a room on the side of the river via booking.com, upon arrival they did not have a room on that side reserved for us. The street side rooms are noisy until about 11 p.m. at night due to passing trains and people, after that it was fine. We have heard from other guests that the rooms on the river side are also very noisy due to the sound of very hard running water. So bring earplugs either way, thanks to the tip we read on Tripadvisor it was a major help to have these with us!

Other than that it is a fine budget option for one night

The staff came to pick us up from the train station. The hostel is very close to the train and bus stations. They offer early checkin and provide takeaway breakfast if you want to start your climb early in the morning.

Not very kind people. Marginally clean small rooms. Nice view of river from some rooms. Would not recommend this place. There are many choices around there so plan ahead. Breakfast was cooked to order which we hope was nice.

Room Tip: Riverside rooms have view but also noise.
