“Good Pizza”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

The pizza wasn't too bad in is wood fire baked. Overall a good restaurant in a very touristy area. Reasonable option for any traveler.

“Warm and Friendly restaurant, Great Italian Food, Perfect for kids”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

Our hotel had recommended two other restaurants, which we checked out as we explored Aguas Calientes. One was too fancy and slow for our kids, and the other appeared to be too touristy and expensive. We also hate restaurants with a laminated menu offering everything from breakfast, to Mexican, to Peruvian, to Italian all on one menu :) There are plenty of those in town!

It was pouring as we wandered around the town, and then we stumbled into Pueblo Viejo and it has this huge wood burning fireplace in the center of the restaurant, and a wood burning pizza oven in the back. Great tables for lots of people. Everything looked so good, that we completely ordered way too much food. Pizzas were the best. Vegetable Lasagna was delicious. Great wine list. Great place to warm up, eat delicious food before your very early morning trek to Machu Picchu! Definitely was one of the authentic restaurants and not the tourist restaurant with people chasing you down with menus in hand!

“Lovely atmosphere”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

Wandered in to this lovely restaurant very hungry and ready to relax. There is a huge central open fire and nice relaxing sofas throughout so there is a great atmosphere. Staff are helpful and friendly and the food is good with an interesting choice of dishes , including pizza and italian food.

“Solid Food, Great Menu, Shining Star in Aguas Calientes”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

Pueblo Viejo is a little gem in the town of Agua Calientes, just a few steps from the main square, this restaurant features a great fireplace in the middle, with white tile floor, and comfortable leather couches. Many restaurants in this town are tourist traps and offer low quality food at beyond high prices. This restaurant is an exception, delivering a solid menu, great service, and value for money. We ate twice there on our recent trip and enjoyed the Salmon and Quiona for dinner, went back the next day and had a Margherita pizza for lunch. Both dishes were great and can highly recommend. Try this place when your visiting Machu Pichu its one of the few places that stands out amongst the crowd.

“Great Italian food, excellent service and good beer menu”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

I ate here with a large group after visiting Machu Picchu. We picked this restaurant because unlike a lot if restaurants in aguas, they had only Italian food, they didnt try to offer every type of food. The food for 10 of us came out quickly and was very good. We had several pastas, pizzas an a bruschetta appetizers and all were very good. The best Italian food we had by far in aguas calientes.
