This place was our little promised-land at the end of our 5-day Salkantay trek. The beds were large, comfortable, and clean, and they even provided towels. Speaking of which, the shower was also great, probably our best during our two weeks in Peru. The water was consistently hot with good pressure, such a necessity after spending days on the trail.
Breakfast was good, and it was nice that they start serving it at 4:15 AM for the early Macchu Pichu crowd. The staff was really helpful, giving us a map of Aguas and pointing out all the important stuff. And they give you a complimentary drink at their upstairs bar!
We both slept like rocks; people complain about it being noisy, but our dorm room was situated back from the front of the building (which has the train tracks right outside), and also only on the second floor, so not right underneath the bar. Also, it was not high season and the hostel was relatively empty, which might have had something to do with it.
Only complaint was that there is no kitchen for guests to use (bar/restaurant upstairs is pretty overpriced), although you can always just walk 5 minutes to second floor of the Aguas Calientes market to join the locals for an affordable meal.More
