Our 7 motorcycles were parked within the gated courtyard of teh hotel overnight. the receptionist spoke excellent english and joked that there was little vehicle crime in Oradea nowadays as "all the bad guys have gone to London." The hotel rooms are basic, the restaurant was good and the bar prices cheap. A good stopover hotel if you are touring.

Room Tip: All the rooms are basic but comfortable. The road at the front gets busy from early morning, but th...

The hotel is close to the central area of Oradea, 5 minutes walking distance. Rooms are quite small, but I think that the hotel is in an old building. Altough is not cheap the food in the restaurant is very good, including the breakfast. Next to the hotel is a park .

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind review.
It is because we maintained the old, historic architecture of the building (it has almost 300 years old!) the facility is a little bit small, yet hospitable, from our point of view.
However, we are glad you felt good at SCORILO Hotel and we hope we will have you as our guest again, soon.

All the best wishes from SCORILO Team!

Best regards,

the double room was very small, even for a single room. the room walls where thin, so we could hear the next door neighbours snoring. there was no hot water! not even mildly warm! we let the tap run for about 30 minutes and only cold water came! we complained to the front-desk, but the issue was not resolved even after 1 hour. there was no notice from the front desk on check-in, that they might have problems with the hot water. also at 7am the maid began to vacuum-clean some rooms on the same floor, with the room's door open, not taking into account the fact that other guest might want to sleep. they did not offer any compensation for the lack of hot water, and still made us pay for the two small beers we took from the minibar. the quality of the breakfast produce was avarage. the price of the room was pretty steep as well.

We've been here twice already and I must say it is a lovely place to stay. It's clean & comfy, the staff is friendly and it's close to the city center. The restaurant is also nice and the menu is more varied than you often get in hotel restaurants. We'll definitely be coming back.

Very nice hotel, fast wi fi, clean, well equiped and air conditioned rooms, restaurant. Even if they have a parking place on the street outside the hotel they let us to park inside the building on the backyards. Highly recomended.

We ate here a couple of nights ago. The place was packed so it took a couple of minutes more to order, we didn´t have a problem with it though. There was a guy singing live, he was actually really good. The menu is very varied, in prices ranging from very cheap to very expensive. The ribs we ordered were very succulent, but the rest of the food that was ordered in was good. We also got bread and foie gras as an appetizer compliments of the house in adition with a shot of palinca.
I recomend this place if you want to enjoy a nice dinner in oradea.

We stayed one night here on our way back to Hungary from Romania. I picked it at random as one of the closest hotels to the station, but was glad I did. It is an historic building, but well-converted, well-maintained and everything works! We had a good-sized room with balcony, comfortable beds, all quiet and clean. For the most part this hotel seems to cater for business travellers, is well run and all the staff we encountered were courteous and obviously well-trained. The hot water took a strangely long time to arrive, which is the only reason for not giving this hotel an 'excellent' rating.

We paid about 225 rom for two, including breakfast (about £40 at that time). The food in the courtyard restaurant downstairs was pretty decent, and some elements - particularly the stuffed pancakes - were very good indeed. Breakfast was the usual Romanian buffet, but they also cheerfully offered to cook us ham and eggs. They even had Earl Grey tea - which was a first!

Room Tip: We had a room and balcony at the back - not sure how quiet the rooms facing the road at the front wo...
