Le Kora has only a limited pizza menu on Sundays, but nonetheless the service is great and the pizza perfect. The number of people who filled the restaurant the night when we went and their and our smiles were testimony for all of the above. I wish we had had the opportunity to go back on another day with the full menu available.

Everything about this restaurant impressed us - the food, the service, the decor, the ambiance - It was all fantastic. The owner is a friendly french lady who was super thoughtful and happily explained to us all the things on the menu we didn't know. For about $30 each, we had appetizers, main dish, desserts, and multiple drinks each...overall the meal was probably the caliber of something we would have paid about $100-$120 each for back in the states. The food was simply amazing. Do NOT skip out on dessert - you will be glad you saved some room. So, two thumbs up from our crowd! We all walked away saying it was the best meal we'd had in a really long time.

We ate here a total of 9 times during our 3 weeks in St. Louis. It seems to be a well-kept secret, unless we are just so early to restaurants that we miss the rush. Whatever the case, this place is our #1 restaurant on the island of Saint-Louis. The menu is different every time we go, and the food is both attractively plated and delicious. It tastes like every dish is prepared fresh to order, and I highly suspect they are. This means the Caesar salad has freshly hardboiled eggs, the mousse au chocolat is light and airy with that just-whipped look, and the steak tartare is ground to order.
Definitely try the Cristophe for a beverage, as it is a delicious mix of bissap syrup, lime juice, sparkling water and fresh mint, and we certainly had our share of these drinks. Also, the jus de gingembre is fresh and my dining companions ordered this on multiple occasions. I could go on about the different dishes, but it would take awhile, as each night there was something different on the menu.
The restaurant is located on Blaise Diagne, just north of La Residence on the opposite side of the road. You can enjoy the courtyard bar, dine inside at a regular table, or grab a bite amongst the koras and sit in a banquette (which we regularly did—much easier to contain a toddler this way!). If you are in St. Louis, you’ve gotta try La Kora. It’s not cheap eating, but it is priced appropriately for the quality.

A great bar and restaurant with quality food and great service. We ordered the fish and saucisson with a bottle of wine- I didn't find the prices to be outrageous- but then again I live in Dakar and am also happy to pay a few dollars more for some "toubab" food. Nice decor and atmosphere- well worth checking out when you're visiting the island. A little gem in Saint Louis.

Had take-away sandwiches for lunch one day and they didn't disappoint. Came back for dinner another night and enjoyed the outside patio, friendly atmosphere, delicious mains and mouth watering chocolate fondue for dessert - with beer and red wine. The staff are attentive and the food, although more pricey than other restaurants we went to during our visit, was worth the price for flavour and portions.
