Astoria Boutique Hotel
Ranked #10 of 25 Hotels in Budva
Reviewed 20 May 2013

just inside at the entrance of the walled old city, very modern and clean hotel. The staff more than helpful. Three of us, my husband , my son and myself stayed there overnight in January. The suite was of a good size, with two bedrooms nice entrance and functional bathroom. The breakfast is served on three different eating areas , one of the beach front where we had a breakfast even it was a middle of winter ! The breakfast is ala cart and you can eat as much as you can. It was delicious. The morning was nice sunny and warm after the rainy night. On our arrival we had a dinner in the hotel restaurant and were very satisfied with the quality of food and service. Free Wifi inside the hotel and worked well in our room. This hotel deserves being ranked No.1 in Budva. Wish to go there again.

As one of (or the only) hotel inside Stari Grad, the Old Town, Astoria
ticks the location box big time.

It's a really cool little place. Modern and funky with great facilities.
Very helpful and organised at reception. They helped us with car parking and recommended
some places to eat.

Our room was a little bit small and the view was a bit disappointing.
The hotel overlooks a small bublic beach to the rear but it's covered in tables and brollies,
so I wouldn't pay too much extra expecting a sea view.

However, that same beach is where you can have breakfast. A choice from their breakfast menu
is available and was excellent. Great pancakes and even a full English with a cold beer one morning!

Go to the Astoria for it's modern, high class, boutique feel in a fantastic Old Town location.

Room Tip: Our "partial seaview" didn't impress as the beach is covered in umbrellas & tables...

On the top of Astoria Hotel you can find the attic restaurant with a small terrace, very cosy, view over sea and lighting town. Staff very friendly, quiet ambience opposed to busy old town!! Try the black rissotto, a pleasure for palate.

I am an accommodation provider, so when it's my turn to stay somewhere, I am fairly discerning. Using TripAdvisor certainly helps get an idea of a place, and the Astoria, with its ranking and lovely reviews didn't disappoint.
We had booked through Booking.com and in our "comments" section mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary while there. I never ask for freebies or anything, but just like to see how the staff interprets what might be a nice way to welcome someone who is there in celebration-mode.
As we had booked last-minute, our room was on the tiny side. It was, however, clean and very comfortable and had a bit of a view. Soon after our check-in, room service arrived with a ginormous cake with fresh strawberries and cream and a love poem printed out and signed by the receptionist. We were touched.
What really impressed me most was that we had arrived on the heels of a hurricane and that particular weekend was also the full moon, so the damage to the usually quiet beach side was visible. While other hotels and b and bs were starting slack-jawed at the aftermath, the Astoria staff went into clean-up mode and had the beach side restaurant up and running in a matter of hours. After hearing many of our Czech friends tell us how lazy Montenegrans tend to be, I came back with this story to challenge the stereotype.
From Budva we walked (and took a local bus) along the shore to Sveti Stefan, which was lovely to look at, but that weekend Brad and Angela had "rented out" the whole island so we couldn't do any sightseeing there. On the way back to Budva we found an incredible waterside seafood restaurant with the freshest fish chowder I've ever experienced.
Thanks, Astoria, and also to Budva for the great memories. We'll be back!

Room Tip: We chose a budget double room, which was smaller than most and didn't have much of a view. For a...

We stayed there for two days, everything was perfect, the hotel prices reasonable, its rated four stars but it lacks nothing except parking, of a five star hotel. Located in the old town is very easy accesible. The breakfast at the hotel Astoria is sth you can look forward too, the kids loved it as so did we. Definitely a hotel to be considered in our future montenegro escapes...

What a great hotel, situated just inside the walled city, very modern very clean and the staff cant do enough for you. Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for 5 days, the bedroom was of a good size and cleaned every day, they have 3 areas that you can eat in, on the beach front (ideal for breakfast) inside the hotel or outside the front of the city walls - this one is especially nice of an eveningtime when they have the candles and patio heaters going. We ate in the restaurant once and i can say the food was good but the only down side was that there was too much for us to eat (maybe a smaller portion needed!). Free Wifi inside the hotel and ours worked well in our room. On our last day we had to leave early in the morning and so the staff offered to make us a packed lunch to take with us as we would be missing the breakfast. I know some people have complained about the air conditioning but to be honest you couldn't really hear it and once your head hits the pillow you are away (the beds are very comfortable). I give this hotel and its staff 5 stars, you really cant go wrong and i know we didnt want to leave.
