This hotel is on the road to/from Cetinje and the road noise is quite loud with the windows open. Our air conditioner decided not to work during the night. Breakfast is adequate but the coffee is the second worst so far in Montenegro. The rooms are old but reasonably well kept. No toiletries but pump soap supplied. Beware there are no self serve/coin laundries to be found in Podgirica. Even though this hotel said we couold do our own laundry there, we foud out otherwise on check in.

This hotel was situated in a quiet location just outside the main town area. It was within walking distance if you dont mind a 25min walk. Taxis were the best way to travel, very cheap and easily accessible from hotel reception. The hotel is small but the rooms were clean, not overly spacious but comfortable enough for a short or longer stay. The bar stayed open all hours, reception was helpful and the food was interesting and tasty. Breakfast was plentiful, hot or cold options available, would recommend the omelettes! If there was something you wanted that was not on offer the hotel would try and get it for you for the next morning. The local bread was very tasty too. There is a comfortable lounge area to sit if you wish. Staff were very accommodating (apart from one, who closed the bar early to party with his friends). We had to leave at 7am on our last morning but the restaurant opened up for us at 6am and made sure we had a good helping of the hot/cold breakfast bar. There is a local small supermarket close to the hotel if you needed anything. Free internet service was available in the lounge area. In all a very reasonably priced hotel offering a very good standard of service.

Excellent hotel for business travel! The apartments are excellent, the service also and the people are very hospitable. I recommend it to every business traveller coming to Podgorica. The hotel is 5 minutes from the city center and you will pay not more than 2.5 Euros to go the center by taxi.
The only disadvantage is that there is no elevator but there are just 10 stairs to go up.

Although the location is on the fringe of Podgorica, Hotel Philia is at a cross roads making travel elsewhere easy. The service was outstanding, the rooms very nice, modern, and clean, and the breakfast wonderful. It was a great value with the nicest staff we have ever met in many trips to europe.

We were delighted to come across this hotel on our way into the city. It is very well positioned on the main road from Cetinje, a short driving distance from the town centre. From the very start of our visit the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were given a junior suite for the price of a regular room...very cheap at seventy euro per room... for 2 people bed and breakfast.
The place is immaculately clean. The breakfast was light and filling.
I would gladly reccomend this hotel to others

Despite having booked a room we were impressed to be given a very spacious apartment with a huge living area containing 2 sofas, dining table and workdesk. There was an individual wireless internet router in the bedroom which was also impressive. The bedroom was also large. The hotel was stylish and nicely decorated. Breakfast was good and served in the pleasant garden. The city centre was a 2euro taxi ride away. Only negative was a very creaky bed the noise of which woke me up anytime I moved.

Located about 700m from the most modern and largest American style shopping mall in the Balkans, but just far enough outside of the downtown business district to be a quiet place. Great breakfast included or as a non-hotel guest for a low price. Staff speak excellent English and are extremely friendly and helpful. Everything is clean and neat. Reading room and wi-fi hot spot. Compared to other hotels in the Balkans, rooms are large, well furnishted, good beds, WARM in winter, with lots of natural and overhead lighting. Carpeted floors. Nice patio garden in fall and spring. This is one of my favorite family owned hotels in all of Europe - and I have lived and worked in Europe for 13 years.
