Since accommodation in Montenegro is pretty pricey (except hostel dorms), this hotel was a real bargain. My small but sufficiently furnished single room was € 36 and included a very nice and tasty so-called Swedish breakfast buffet from 7 till 9 am with white bread, different toppings, cereals, fresh fruit and so much more (I would call it continental, though).
Everything is neat and clean and all staff members are very friendly and helpful. In the lobby, they provide one computer with free Internet access. The only downside was the fact that I was given a smoker´s room. I just left the window open all day and got rid of the smell that lingers everywhere inside the hotel - it is Montenegro, a smoker´s paradise after all.
The Evropa is very close to the main bus station. You just exit, turn left and already see the sign on top of their roof. Podgorica´s city centre is quite far away, but can be reached within 10 to 15 minutes on foot. One night is more than enough since there is not much to do nor to see in town.
If you have to go to the airport, I recommend arranging a cab ride yourself. The Evropa charges € 10. Just bargain a little with cab drivers waiting in front of the bus station and they will take you there for less (I paid € 7). Their knowledge of English is usually limited, but with hands and feet and a slip of paper you will not have problems to be understood. Podgorica´s cab drivers are very likable and have a good sense of humour - so do not worry at all.
