Stayed there for 7 nights. Booked it through Priceline and got a confirmation via email. When we got there, they were not expecting us. Surprise!

The area is nice and quiet. Breakfast buffet was alright.

Rug was dirty. Bed had hair on it. My bathroom sink backed up. No english speaking channels on TV.

Would only recommend it because there are not many choices online.

I've been there for one night with my partner for family reasons. We had no other choice but to stay in Gwangju for a night, so we chose that hotel. We had been at an awful Motel the night before, so we really needed somewhere more comfortable to settle down. We chose it because of the good comments of this website.

If you are planning to stay at this hotel, you'd better have a car. It's at the foot of a mountain, far away from the city center. We were lucky enough to have a friend drive us around, or else getting there would have been a nightmare.

The hotel itself is far overrated. We had a great deal with a travel agent, so instead of paying the online fee of 210'000 won a night, we paid 75'000. Quite a deal, isn't it ?

For that price, the room has nothing special. Just the usual free internet connection and a minibar with really high prices. Not even pay-tv or VOD. Just a normal sized TV. The size of the room is acceptable, but far from what you'd expect if you were silly enough to pay the normal rate. We were really happy though. The bed is comfortable and rather big. The bathroom is standard, nothing special.

The hotel has two really expensive restaurants. 45'000 won for a meal at least at the chinese, and goes up to 120'000 won at the steak restaurant. We had our friend driving us, so we went to eat somewhere up the mountain. The room service is acceptable. We had breakfast for 5500 won a person. A nice set of bakeries and muffins.

So, if you are up for a hike and full of money, or can speak korean and find the right travel agent, this is probably the most comfortable hotel "around" Gwangju city.
