For 2 stupas are not the best go there and spend min. 2 hours (by car) within the ruins - better go to Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya and Dambulla. Waste of 25 dollars.

It was very peaceful. You can relax your mind. I liked almost everything except the weather but we were flexible since there is no alternative. We enjoyed Beli mal drink. Thank god and hoping to go back.

This is one of the most underrated historical sights in Sri Lanka. It dates back to ~ 140 BC and it looks just amazing at sunset and then later on under the illumination of lights at night. The stupa is an architectural marvel and is worth visiting late in the day/evening. Anyway I will leave it for you to decide!

This temples is located only few steps away from the Sri Maha Bodhi temple. A must see if your coming to this area. It is also known as one of the largest stupas in Sri Lanka. The stupa was built with many relics of Gauthama Budha by King Dutu gamunu.
Out of all the Buddhist temples on earth this temple is legendary. This will be the place the last sermon of Budha will be preached at the end of the earth as written in ancient Buddhist scripts.
And as for all the other Buddhist temples in Sri lanka this also prohibits entrance to the premises in footwear, caps and in decent clothes. Be mindful not to wear anything shorter than the knee length or any sleeveless tops.
