“Impresive hindu temple”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 May 2014

When I saw the temple I had to say "waaaa" (I never went to India). The inside is also nice, it is huge and the architecture is very interesting. Their is a "pool" inside and the workers and religious guys are very friendly.

“A must visit for every Hindu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014 via mobile

It's a beautiful temple and there is amazing energy. It's got amazing architecture. The temple prayers are however conducted at a certain time so be sure to check the timings before going or else you won't be able to see the deity. The ceremony is conducted in a different manner from temples in India.

It was a fantastic time in the Nallur kovil attending prayers . Arts monuments are unbelievable. Prayer time is open only for topless men.

I went with two colleagues for the early morning pooja at 5 am. This was a colourful yet simple ceremony. The samis were very friendly. They did not charge money. A ticket was only an amazing 1rupee. The jaffna sojourn is not complete without this visit. It is a very venerated site for hindus and certain buddhists.
