If your reading this you need look no further. Baramba Guest house, BB , homestay is fantastic. I could go on for hours but that would no do justice. In summary, architect designed house build 2/3 years ago. The house is spotless, the food amazing the hosts are charming. We stayed 3 nights, made use of the lounge and kitchen. Absolutely loved this amazing place. I really hope to come back. Paul and Juliette.

Room Tip: All rooms are amazing.. There is a large room if you want space but you have use of downstairs. Very...

This place is wonderful. Faultless really. The rooms are stylishly designed, the atmosphere intimate, the hosts flawlessly kind and hospitable (while not being invasive), the cooking divine. For supper Barbara can make wonderfully imaginative multi-layered dishes, using fresh local ingredients and a talent for a bit of fusion. It was amazing. Breakfast is similarly good- what can be better than mouthwatering fresh baked bread each morning, fresh fruits and homemade muffins. Bliss! The place is hard to find and a bit off the beaten track, it's size means that it probably isn't the best place to bring a lively group of kids (I am a parent, so feel I can say this!), but for couples or solo travellers seeking a bit of beauty, gourmet cooking and solitude: perfection!

We've spent two nights at Baramba house whilst traveling around Sri Lanka and found this the best guesthouse of our entire trip! The setting is lovely, in a terraced garden with a swimming pool and great views, and the house is magnificent. Our room (we chose the big/deluxe room) was so wonderful and the bathroom was modern, comfortable and super clean. We loved spending time here and could have stayed much longer. If all places could be like this... Breakfast was the best we had on our trip too, what a great start of the day! Highly highly recommended.

Room Tip: spend a little more on the big room, it's worth it!

Stayed here for two nights whilst travelling around Sri Lanka as a family of four and can only concur with the reviews already provided. It is a little way out of town but given how busy Kandy is and how easy it was to get in & out by tuk-tuk this was a positive for us. The bed in the large room was the most comfortable ever and the bathroom was to die for. Barbara is a fantastic host, providing fabulous breakfasts and sorting out a trip to a local primary school for us so my wife, a college lecturer in Childhood Studies, could sample the Sri Lankan education system. Look no further for your place to stay when visiting Kandy.

Room Tip: All rooms are fabulous but I just loved the comfort and the bathroom of the largest room.

We are staying in Baramba right now and it is the most beautifull place ever. The views from the garden are breathtaking, the house itself is picture-perfect. We stay in one of the smaller rooms, the one with the wooden floor, which is the most beautifull one in our opinion. The owners are very kind and arrange all transport if you want. The drive into town is just around 15 minutes, the drive to the station of Peradeniya app 20 minutes.
Breakfast is just amazing!!! Bread, home made jam, lots of fruit, fresh juice and every morning a surprise (carrot cake, curry, avocado salad).
When you want to visit Kandy; stay here!

We stayed for 2 nights at Baramba House during our holiday to Sri Lanka in August. The house is beautiful and only a short drive into Kandy. We had the larger room which was fantastic, huge, comfy bed and an enormous, well fitted bathroom. The breakfast was amazing, definitely the best we had in Sri Lanka and possibly ever! We also had dinner at Baramba House which was also fantastic. Barabara is an amazing host, so kind and such a brilliant cook. She helped us to find a really lovely driver who looked after us for most of our holiday (Aruna). We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Baramba House!

This place is just incredible. We stayed and ate in so many lovely places in Sri Lanka but this was simply perfect. Lots of space, tasteful and extremely comfortable with views and breakfasts to die for and a perfect size swimming pool. Not sure I was entirely blown away by Kandy itself but I would return just to stay at Baramba. If you go to Kandy make a stay at Baramba an essential part of it.

Room Tip: There are three rooms here but I get the impression that if you booked two rooms they would leave th...
