A value for money b&b has one of the best views of the Kandy hill. It is also at a walkable distance from the Kandyan Dance Program centre and the Tooth temple

The owner Mr. Herbert goes out of the way to make your stay comfortable. And yes the driver accomodation is free too in case you are travelling by taxi. He also guided a few spots which we had not included in our itinerary.

The room are basic and clean with mosquito net. The breakfast option includes Sri Lankan Breakfast which we liked a lot especially the string hopper. The view from the breakfast table is amazing too.

Would love to come back to this hotel again

Great place with superb staff and nice value for money. Breakfast with like view is really a plus. Well located (15 mins to center and the tooth temple)
We had ants in our room so it's probably better to check room before moving in ;)

The guest house is well placed for getting around, the staff were very helpful and always available. Herbert the owner booked our on-going accommodation for us with people he knew which was very helpful. We had an excellent breakfast every morning on the balcony with the most wonderful views over the lake and beyond. Sometimes we chose to have supper and that too was cooked by the staff and eaten on the balcony. Very good value and I will go there again when I return to Sri Lanka.

We had two nights in Kandy and chose the Drop Inn. It’s not expensive and adequate for a short stay. The staff were helpful, especially the owner who knew a lot about the area and onward travel. The room was ok; the bathroom though could have done with a good clean. Breakfast was ok too. It’s a little way out of town so either a short tuk-tuk ride or a long-ish walk back up the hill. It's close to the Royal palace and near the lake which was nicely lit up at night. Like I say, certainly not the worst place.
