My husband and I stayed in Clove Villa in the ebony and ivory room. The villa is beautifully designed, the room was spacious and modern and the staff were exceptional. The food is also notably very good.
We swam in the beautiful pool, played plenty of snooker and enjoyed the hospitality of Nawa and Charlie, two brilliant hospitality managers.
We liked that the villa is a little out of the city and was in a quiet area yet only a 5-10 min tuk tuk down to the lake.
We are very glad we stayed three nights!

We stayed here for 2 nights, 17th and 18th April at the beginning of our Sri Lankan holiday. After a long journey and lost bags, we arrived to this oasis of calm. The staff were all very helpful and although they do not yet have an alcohol licence they went out to buy us a couple of much needed cold beers! We ate at the hotel on the first night and the meal was fantastic.. beef curry and rice with lots of interesting and tasty side dishes cooked by Charlie who also served up a couple of good breakfasts. We travelled into the city centre easily by tuk tuk and on our second day went to the Botanic Gardens and the Temple of the Tooth. Our room was clean and comfortable and we loved the fish pond inside.. very cool and peaceful. Spent a couple of hours at the pool which was also very quiet and relaxing. We would thoroughly recomment this hotel to our friends.

We stayed here 26 Feb - 2 March 2013 for 4 nights. Lovely small boutique hotel on the outskirts of Kandy. Charlie, the restaurant manager was very friendly and made sure that all our needs were met. The food was very good and Charlie explained and helped us to sample the traditional Sri Lankan cuisine. Our room and hotel was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the location because it was in a quieter area but inexpensive to get a tuk tuk into the city centre. We enjoyed a walk from the hotel to the reservoir which was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy. We recommend Siri the local tuk tuk driver to be your driver and guide and Charlie can provide the contact information. Siri was magnificent and took us to Pinnwaela Elephant Orphanage, a Tea Factory, Kandy Botantical Gardens, University, the War Memorial Cemetry and various places in Kandy.

We stayed at Clove Villa for two nights with our two young kids. The whole experience was wonderful - the owners were accommodating and very helpful in organizing pick up to and from the train station several kms away. We stayed in the Golden Infinity room, which could have been a bit bigger for our family of four, but it was great otherwise, and the bathroom amenities were luxurious. The food was fantastic and the chef was the most wonderful gent - friendly and helpful, and great with the kids and their picky habits. Yes, the pool is on the small side, but I think it was just right for a boutique place and it was more than enough for us and quite lovely! In general, the villa is a bit outside the centre of town, but catching a tuktuk was no problem and very affordable. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

We stayed 2 nights in this beautifull hotel . They have only 4 rooms. The room Rasberry and Ebony were very spacious. Super clean very nice bathroom and decor beautifull. There is a beautifull pool surronded by manucure gardens. The living room area is quite something very nicely done. Mr. Nawa an employe was very nice always smiling and dedicated to his job. The chef is very good in fact all the employess are nice. We do recommand this quiet hotel strongly you wont regret it for a second. Fair price for the quality you get.
