We stayed for this hotel a total of two nights on our private tour of the country and enjoyed our stay here.
The hotel upgraded us the a superior suite as it was our honeymoon AND provided us with a fruit platter. The suite was lovely although not really needed (it had a whole other living area with sofa, dining table and 2nd TV). I wasn't sure about the fruit platter either as we had just come from an all-you-can-eat buffet...which had fruit on it! I would have preferred a couple of free drinks but the hotel does not provide that service.
Hotel and rooms were very nice and modern. Good views from the top floor where you can order drinks. I would suggest bringing mosquito repellent!

Scenery was great from the breakfast/dinner hall as you could see over all the hills. The food was very good here too, probably the best we had in our entire Sri Lanka trip.
Kandy is a Muslim community so be prepared to listen to morning prayer being blasted through loud speakers in the town at about 6am!

Kandy is a nice area. Temple of the tooth a very boring and usually i don't mind a museum (although the guide we had was a very boring fellow so made it worse). It's where Buddha's tooth is kept, but you don't get to see the tooth...so, what's the point?!?

Topaz, Lovely room with dual aspect overlooking Kandy. Busy International hotel that coped well with all the in and out. No outside sitting space. Staff professional . On hill so long walk to anywhere. No outside sitting space and pool shared with sister hotel.

Nice hotel, up on the hills in Kandy. Clean and comfortable rooms, well equipped. Great restaurant with huge buffett at breakfast and dinner - no problems at all with choice or quality.

A littled faded around the edges, but nice touches like the candles along the corridors.

Would stay again. NB need trabsport to get there, it's out of the centre and up some long hills - hard even to find!
