we spent two night here at topaz when we arrive the porter was friendly they usually are cos they are looking for tips. One lady escorted us to our room quite spacious and clean. We could not open the fridge, sink in the bathroom was blocked. We went down stairs to speak to some one at the reception there was a tall bloke very dark complexion dont know his name he wore black jacket, but he never spoke with smile.When i complained about sink he said he will send boy at once.However that at once became never. We asked his three time and he never sent anyone to repair the blocked sink.We were there for two nights thank god but we used the bathroom to wash and brush. After that we got so fed up that we did not bother complaining about blocked sink. Pool is way down the hill and shops well you might as well forget it they too far down the hill. Food is average nothing to write home about. People be aware that in kandy there are other places to stay which might be better in providing service and I will certainly not be going back to this hotel in October when i visit sri lanka again.

The hotel is quite faraway from the city center but has a great view from the valley, very nice rooms, with a lot of space, nice premises good restaurant and very nice and kind staff, always willing to help, great place
