We stayed here for 1 night whilst on a trip to Sigyria and Kandy. Check in was fine, we were given a welcome drink then shown to our room. The room looked lovely on first glance, but on closer inspection the sheets on the bed had marks on them and the way the bathroom was designed was totally impractical (a large basin but not enough room to open the shower cubicle door as the toilet was in the way. Like a previous reviewer our shower cubicle leaked badly resulting in a flooded bathroom floor.
Buffet dinner was provided. the restaurant was large, choice of food not great but food was OK. There were a lot of staff around who were very eager to please, but none of them seemed to know what they were doing and we saw no sign of any direction or leadership - as time went on we discovered this was the same throughout the hotel. We had a drink from the mini bar when we arrived and our attempts to pay for it involved several staff and a half hour wait. Thankfully we were able to pay in cash, as I wouldn't have trusted them with my credit card!
All in all we were glad we only had to stay for 1 night and certainly wouldn't dash back.More
