Our room was in the "old" part of the hotel but was very nice and seemed to be pretty new as well. It was a little small but very comfortable and clean. It was great to have delicious fruit juice next to the very clean pool. Next to the pool, they are buildung a new part of the hotel which didn't bother us because it was quiet, but it wasn't very comfortable lying there in a bikini with all the building workers.
The location of the hotel is great! If you come to Polonnaruwa by bus it is a 1 minute walk to the hotel and it is the perfect starting point for your tour through the ancient city.
They rent bikes and can explain you how to get to the sights. The staff is very friendly and the service was good.
We stayed for 2 nights. On the first evening we hat the Jumbo Prawns which were delicious!! On the second night we had Rice and curry which was very good but too expensive. On the first morning we tried to order Sri Lankan Breakfast which wasn't possible. That's why we ate Western Breakfast which was ok and ordered Sri Lankan Breakfast for the next day. We would definetly recommend to order Sri Lankan Breakfast the day before - it was the best during our 3 weeks stay in Sri Lanka.

Stayed there for one night while visiting the ruins in Polonnaruwa. Hotel has good first impression and staff were very friendly. Good comfortable room. Almost brand new pool which was very refreshing after long bus journey from Anuradhapura. Free wifi. They are building another wing to the hotel on far side of pool but building work did not affect our stay. Good breakfast. Would recommend

We stayed in the new part of the hotel and the room was bright, clean and tiled. The bathroom was really nice and we had a balcony overlooking the pool. It was lovely to be able to come back after a day of cycling to relax in the pool. However the service let the hotel down. We arrived early in the morning after a long bus journey and were not able to check in until twelve. This is understandable except that we were treated very differently from another another couple who arrived by car and were offered a welcome drink ( we were not!). We stayed two nights and our room was not cleaned or our beds even made. Breakfast is included in the price and is buffet style. There was a cockroach in the buffet and the staff were not very interested in getting rid of it.

We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room. After a long day of travel we had a great sleep and were refreshed and ready for our next part of our adventure. Breakfast was great with good service. There was a pool but we didn't use it. It did look inviting.

We stayed here for a night during an Intrepid tour. We had a room in the old part of the hotel. It was pretty ordinary. It was a hotbox with windows having no mosquito mesh and there was no net over the bed. Outside there were mosquitoes everywhere, Aircon was available but we had to pay extra for it. Really, there was no option not to have it with the heat and the prospect of mozzies if the window was opened. Felt ripped-off here
