Being almost across the street from an intercity bus stop made this hotel better than average. It is also pretty much in the center of town and well located for a 15 minute or so walk to the ruins.

Room was old but clean and not shabby. Overall service was acceptable.

We stayed one night in the hotel. The manager is nice, but we had to pay 7500 rs. for one night in a small room with no view.

The staff in general speaks a poor English and we found it a bit difficult to communicate with the waiters in the restaurant, because of their lack of English skills. But in general the staff was nice and they tried their best to make us feel welcome. We enjoyed the pool in the afternoon and lunch buffet.

Hotel is quite expensive. Quite old and dirty. GOod Location. WIFI is in lobby only. Very close to the historical city. No Frills Hotel .. If you are in this city and trying to have a good sleep then can come here.

i went for the breakfast, that time i checked cotton was fully close. when i come back from the restaurant, the cotton was half open. so i checked window, it was open. i checked my wallet(i had exactly 3100, i checked last night) only 1510rs was there. 1000rs and 500rs is gone. i told to manager and he keep saying never happened before. and he knows that i have to go on 9am, he didnt call to police fast. and didnt get my money back also. i'm so dissapointed, it's not a money problem(if i want money then i should say 30000 not 3000) but what if some guy came inside at night. so scare. plz dont go to this hotel. and watch out ur everything.

Our room was in the "old" part of the hotel but was very nice and seemed to be pretty new as well. It was a little small but very comfortable and clean. It was great to have delicious fruit juice next to the very clean pool. Next to the pool, they are buildung a new part of the hotel which didn't bother us because it was quiet, but it wasn't very comfortable lying there in a bikini with all the building workers.
The location of the hotel is great! If you come to Polonnaruwa by bus it is a 1 minute walk to the hotel and it is the perfect starting point for your tour through the ancient city.
They rent bikes and can explain you how to get to the sights. The staff is very friendly and the service was good.
We stayed for 2 nights. On the first evening we hat the Jumbo Prawns which were delicious!! On the second night we had Rice and curry which was very good but too expensive. On the first morning we tried to order Sri Lankan Breakfast which wasn't possible. That's why we ate Western Breakfast which was ok and ordered Sri Lankan Breakfast for the next day. We would definetly recommend to order Sri Lankan Breakfast the day before - it was the best during our 3 weeks stay in Sri Lanka.
